I couldn't believe my ears with what I heard today...

I went to my local dealer for a Mustang fix as it's one month since I ordered mine.. they told me they have cancelled Mustang orders because of the NCAP story this week. I find this so hard to believe, especially when there are so many great cars out there that haven't been tested at all??

Anyway, on another note.. while I was there I test drove a Focus RS. What a great machine that is.. talk about planted, my God it sticks to the road like nothing I have ever driven.

So, I changed my Mustang order for a Focus RS, which will be here in April. I can't wait to get my hands on it. The dealers have cancelled orders on the Focus too, just like the Mustangs, but with the larger range of options available it's hard to find a match.

So, will I remain a member of the 6G forums?? Of course I will...

I was only joking about the cancelled order.. I'm having the Mustang as well!!:headbang::headbang:

Now you're just showing off! ;)

I'm rather miffed at the timing of this NCAP story - I was planning to get mine up for sale this week. Still - you know what they say ..... today's front page, tomorrow's chip wrapper. Another week and it'll all be old news.

Have you driven one? I tested it to see what all the hype, both negative and positive is all about. I fell in love when i launched around a big roundabout and swept off onto a sloping exit slip. My god, that thing was planted.. I thought my Fiesta ST was good.. this is a whole other league..

My driveway is gonna be a nice place to be come thend of this summer.. FORD FEST!!!:ford::ford::ford:

AWD is very handy in winter, my EVO X was damn right silly, 420HP, AWD with ability to send all the power to just one wheel or distribute as required between all 4.

My most fun was on snow covered roads, I had it on winter tyres and drove it flat out, 70mph on snow covered roads no one else dared to go on, what a car that was and huge fun, true rally car for the road.

I test drove the RS right after stepping out of test driving the Mustang. The RS was very easy to drive quickly, felt incredibly confident and far more practical and suited to the UK...but, it was nothing compared to how I felt in the Mustang.

Wish I could afford 2 brand new cars, I'd of had the Mustang and something that'll fit 2 Huskies comfortably in the boot.

If I had two Huskies, I would feel the same. Fortunately I have one Wire Haired Fox Terrier and she owns the Land Rover.

Well I just looked at insurance on compare the market and it's cheaper than the last time I looked. I'm getting around ÂŁ450 annually for a mustang gt.

Actually doing my nut because that's with esure who I just left for Hastings.

I had someone at work telling me I shouldn't get the car as it's "unsafe".

As long as it don't effect the insurance price I'm happy, plenty people driving this thing around the world just fine it's not unsafe

Iwas quoted ÂŁ210 a few weeks ago by Esure, just checked again and its ÂŁ220. As a comparison the RS is ÂŁ199!!

I guess I'm not so fussed about safety systems as I used to ride a GSXR. The only safety feature on a bike is your wrist.

Although it would be nice if it made a difference to my insurance. Paying circa ÂŁ900 now, albeit for a heavily modified one, but still. :(

I regularly park next to this one at work. You can make the same photo in your own driveway! Very nice :)

He wants to get a Sto n Sho. That yellow plate spoils the front of the RS. Yours looks spot on

Agreed, the Mustang shouldn't have a plate at all of course.

Edit... I wonder if i can reserve consecutive plates from my dealer. Having "VU17 ABC" on the RS and "VU17 BBC" on the Mustang would be pretty cool. "
