I'd be willing to bet the digital dash may look "cool", but let's get real world driving impressions when out and about in extremely bright light:

Will the digital cluster get washed out?
Will there be sun glare affecting visibility of the gauges?

IMO, the digital dash cluster just seems out of place in that interior.

At least Ford QC is still subpar with the ill fitting body panels for 2018... LMAO

I'm liking the powertrain, gauge cluster, and exhaust setup. I wonder what it will cost though, my 2016 sticker price was just under $45k and I'm sure the exhaust and Magneride will add a significant amount, as well as the auto trans option . The seats in my 16' appear to have more side bolster?

Who at Ford thought the Mustang should look more like a Hyundai Veloster?!

Hyundai Veloster?

More like someone on the Design Team must like the 1971-1973 Mustang, because that 2018 front end is TOO LONG, it narrows down like the 71-73 nose did... ugh.....

I'm not so sure. I've got a listing for a 2017 GT PP in Lightning Blue open in one tab, and a Carmax listing for an S197 in Kona Blue open in another tab.

Judge for yourself.
This one is labelled Kona Blue in the press release:

Definitely not. Look at the captions of the pictures in Ford's press release. At least 3 of the wheel types are labeled as GT PP:

https://media.ford.com/content/ford...rd-mustang-design-technology-performance.html
You really cannot go by that because the marketing team is pretty out of the know in terms of what the models/add-ons/features are. We'll have to wait to see the order guide (I can't see them making too many wheel options for the PP...that would require a lot of different rim set-ups).

The most likely choices will be the premium trims which can get 18's, 19's 20's and probably a few of each.

I know. Either the pics are mislabeled (wouldn't be the first time marketing materials had a mistake in them), Kona Blue has been changed a little, or I haven't seen it in such a long time that I'm getting confused.

All these beautiful new wheel options if I bet if you order the PP you'll still be stuck with the same old boring 20 spoke ones.
Great looking wheels! In this pic the new front end looks a lot more aggressive than the outgoing one:headbang:headbang:

I dont even know why people ask about the 10 speed...you'll spend so much money doing that to try to do it to a 15-17 why even bother.

The gauges probably but it will be such an endeavor it's probably not possible for most. Add in the computer tech needed....nightmare.
Why not? Maybe they want the tech without the disjointed looks of the front end... Maybe it is the same reason I am doing a Coyote swap in my 'notch -- because there are things I don't like about the 11+ Coyote cars, i.e. size, weight, etc., so I am getting the tech in a smaller car.

It is clear that more people don't like the redesign than do, so trying to see if they can make the tech work seems like an honest curiosity.

Looks like secret messages in the image. 1964.5 first year of the Mustang, 289 mls to E, 289 cid first V8 in the Mustang.

could it be the gear 4 and speed 55 hint at 455HP?
Great catch.

It's not like the mustang is the first car to get an all digital gauge setup. It is a pretty safe bet getting washed out will not happen - that would be a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Plus the current screen between the gauges does not get washed out. Why would this be any different?
