I hated it when I saw the video screenshot yesterday, but after seeing the pictures today... It's quite good. It might grow on me...

I'm guessing the redline is based off warm engine versus cold engine. If I'm not mistaken, the gt350 limits the rpm's until it's warm. It probably has to help protect the opg from pushing thick cold oil at too high of an rpm.

If you look at the video of the Rock giving away the GTPP, they crank it up and redline is at 6500rpm. That's lower than the current redline.

Just checked Ford's site and noticed they will be offering a Forged Aluminum wheel as an option. Is this a 1st for Ford? Sorry if this has already been brought up. To many pages to read through.
Yes and no. A forged wheel was standard on the 99/01 Cobras and then brought back on the 03-04 Mustang GT as an option. It IS the first time such an option has been available for the Mustang since then, though.

Considering Ford made a big about the 5.0 being able to rev to 7k when it launched, that would seem to indicate that a variable redline is part of the deal now. I can't imagine them detuning it like that.

Like I said, I suspect the dual mode exhaust will be a popular option on the GT. Hell, it was so popular on the C7 that GM made it standard with the Z51 package for MY 2015. I wouldn't be surprised if the same holds true for PP Mustangs.

Real question is whether or not the dual mode system adds any power.
I'm sure it will be popular but that doesn't help me and my 2016. :( ;)

I wasn't saying they are detuning it. I was saying that when they cranked the cold GTPP engine in Rock's reveal, redline was 6500. You can't convince me that they would cut back so it makes since that it's 6500 when cold and goes to 7400 when warm.

Or the PCM knows when the engine isn't under load so morons can't sit and redline the engine with the car stationary.

That's bad, see.

New Mustang looks great.

I hope that rear valence/diffuser is compatible with the existing Mustangs. Would love to add that to my 16.

I know. The Germans have been doing that for a while.

you'll need a new rear bumper. the body line on the rear moves up and down for the new valance
