So I have been looking everywhere over the internet, and can't seem to find a real answer.

I have a 2015 Ford Mustang GT Premium. My sound system is Shaker, but with out the sub in the back, so one step down from the top Shaker system. I do have the 8'' Nav system.

I do not have the HD radio button on the top right when looking at the radio menu. Keep in mind I'm talking about HD radio to the point where I can get multiple channels like HD1/HD2/HD3.

Is there any way to get this button? If not, what can I do to get this, is it an upgrade? What are my options.

Thanks in advance!

I believe this was part of the 401A package

EDIT: Confirmed HD Radio was part of the 401A package with memory seats/subwoofer/ETC. I don't think you can just get it necessarily. An aftermarket radio may work. There are sub forums on the electronics where people have swapped units between cars/trims. I think it is a little involved though.

401A includes:

Shaker™ Pro Audio System with 12 speakers and amplifier, HD Radio™ Technology, driver’s seat and sideview mirror memory feature, and BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert

So I clearly dont have the 401a then. just the 400a. Any suggestions or any way to get just the HD radio? is there just an aftermarket receiver that I can plug into one of the USB outlets?

As far as I know the HD feature is built in to most head units. It may be a software thing not sure.

Your only option might be to replace the whole unit. Probably better off just going satellite radio.

Quick search and I found http://hdradio.com/get-a-radio/home-radio/sparc-hd-radio-receiver-w/bluetooth-and-emergency-alerts, that can stream bluetooth but i t is $200 and is cumbersome.

I think your best bet is you can stream many HD radio stations over the internet and use your phone to play it on your radio if you really want. Short of that you'd need to replace the receiver in your car with one that supports it.

You need a new ACM unit (cd player) with the hd capability. Couple hundred bucks. You also need The touch screen reprogrammed to get full control functionality - however just the new ACM is enuf if you don't mind the controls bring non-stock. Check out the infotainment forum for some options, OEM radio does this as do others.

does my CA Special 2016 with Shaker 401A and rear SUB, already have this?
I got it in Nov 2015, so I am sure it was built around Aug or so?

The point of HD radio is high quality sound.....something you will never get with satellite radio
