Makes me chuckle that no one has Mentioned VMP who makes the bigger inlet of the roush style blower. "Gen 2"
All of their cars regularly make 600+ through an auto with CATS
And 620+ stick with cats
And drives like stock and uses all of the points the car should use.

Look around and do some shopping. Many Many tuning options out there.
I am chuckling at the first few pages of this thread being full of the letters VMP.

But yes, VMP is a great place to go for most solutions for these cars. I have been using VMP for many years. Being one of the first to have the 03-04 Cobra VMP blowers, to one of the first to have the Coyote VMP blowers, to the first to have a VMP on an S550.

Thanks for chiming in, "Alex" ;)

Maybe I missed this in the thread but.... What kinda numbers is the VMP TVS capable of efficiently? I figure it can do 18-19psi and still not be a complete heat pump? What should that equate to power wise?
Well. That is a good question.

I run the VMP Gen 2 above the suggested RPM limit for the blower, yet without using ice...my IAT2 temps dont exceed 160.

The car also picks up 32 or more mph on the second half of the track, which shows it is not becoming inefficent yet, in my opinion.

As I type this, I don't think anyone has spun the TVS as hard as I have. I could be wrong, but I think my set-up is unique. 8500RPM with just about the smallest pulley config you can use.

On 8500 RPM shifts, my boost peaks at about 21.5psi.

So 20-21psi. Power? 800 or so rwhp? Do you have an upper pulley or upper and lower?

I figured this post would become more or less a discussion on what VMP has to offer in options for their blower.

I haven't had my set up long... maybe 10 days excluding dealer time for the install.

This is my first SC car... so I don't have a huge experience data bank to draw on.

So far, the rig has been flawless. Haven't raced... still getting a feel for the car.

But it does what I want and I haven't had a hiccup.

Saw this vid that my tuner made this morning. Seems like a super impressive bang for the buck for the TVS guys. Hard to beat that!

I see TVS increased the 2300 to 2650, be interesting to see how this will apply to the S550. They introduced it at SEMA!
