Yeah the legends are different colors on the two pages. The second one is a lot cleaner than the first one.

I don't see 325hp being hit on the graph. The legend states 325, but the graph doesn't hit that high.
Yeah, it is there. You're focusing on the torque curve - bhp raises higher rpm while torque naturally goes lower. Exciting if that is to the wheel.

The real question I think is that the tune that Ford is selling right now?
Not sure... seems his post should have been its own thread....

Not sure what the hell whipple has to do with anything here...

Nice numbers, but odd post here... IMO, of course.

Whipple looks like they installed it. Not sure how much the IC and intake added. Probably not a lot.

Fox-4 says it is a "whipple unit".

Appreciate his/her post.... just in an odd place. I'm sure someone looking for this information won't ever find it dropped here.

Hopefully someone will post info on the Ford until soon.... nice to see some numbers anyway though, don't get me wrong.

It's a Ford calibration though. Ford calibration would seem indifferent to the Whipple intake and intercooler. Not sure if anyone is going to spend the extra money on a dyno.w Whipple did his cause they are testing their heads.

That's correct, I can't speak on behalf of either company on their reasons to partner up, but the rep at Whipple told me the file that Ford sent to them is the same as what's in the FR kit and I don't have any reason not to believe them. When I was at the shop one of the big hurtles they had to cross was making sure it's 50 state legal and passing CARB regulations.

I probably should say something about the drivability... It's spot on, the car should had left the factory like this. Great power all the way though the rev range, torque is amazing off the line and the car is not temperamental at all. I've taken it on several trips and logged some miles in the twisty roads near me, nothing to complain about. It's a livable tune that nets good power with sacrificing much in fuel economy.

My concern and possibly others is this isn't really the Ford Performance tune that they are selling right now. If that is the case, this does nothing for us. When I look at your shop ticket, it's obvious that the intake and intercooler are Whipple but those shouldn't make much difference.

Others testing has shown the stock air box is about the best performing option with a simple higher flowing drop in filter. If the intercooler is adding, it will be more on the top end as things would be heating up. Part of that would depend on how aggressive the tune is. Benefits from the intercooler come more from back to back or longer tests.

The thing that has me thinking this isn't the same tune is on the shop ticket where it says, "Whipple/Ford Ecoboost Calibration". Why put Whipple on there unless they modified the tune? They may have started with the Ford Performance base tune and modified.

The only way to really tell would be to have someone that got the actual released Ford Performance tune installed with a before and after dyno. Preferably one with no other mods.

Got mine installed yesterday. Its a real nice boost, especially on the low and top ends. the middle of the rev range around 4k-ish feels about the same (maybe a bit better), but its got a lot more get up and go from the start and doesn't run out of steam at the top. The new throttle mapping is much better too. Starting in first gear just feels smoother and easier.

One thing to watch out for - double check your dealer's install. The kit is so new and if they haven't seen many of them, its easy to mess up the intake install. Especially since the instructions (at least on my kit) - aren't in the box.

On mine they didn't trim the bottom of the boot where the new intake bucket meets the factory air inlet tube, they just kind of shoved it up against it. When I got home i had to pull off the air bucket and modify it as shown in the instructions to make a better seal. (the dealer is an hour away - i wasn't about to drive back, and it was a easy 10 minute fix).

Thank you!!!! Do you have an auto?

Which dealership did you get it installed? How much did they charge?

Right now we know Waldorf Ford will install it and they charge around $220.
