Has anybody had their GT350 intake or TB ported yet? I've had mine on the car for about a year now so I'm ready to make a move and try getting it ported.
Looking for results and feedback.

Shaun@aed does not recommend porting GT350 throttle bodies.

Did he say why or he just didn't like it? I'm guessing it messes with drivability. The company that does them said it's picks up 300cfm

If you aren't running some form of a power adder it probably has to do with diminishing marginal utility... aka it isn't worth the time or money for n/a stock long block engines.

Meh. I spoke to someone the other day about a camshaft and he put it into perspective. 3.5% gain is 3.5% gain. If you are running a stock setup, 3.5% isn't as impressive than a 3.5% gain on top of a power adder.

So with that logic in mind, today it may not be impressive at all. Tomorrow, it may be that last bump you need to make your power goal. Besides, depending on the porting, this could translate to a different power curve.

I remember reading a thread on SVTperformance where someone mailed in their GT350 TB to get ported and due to design it couldn't be. I'm looking for the thread now.

I would not want anyone trying to port my $1000 IM. At least not unless they had already ported a few of them successfully and could show me the dyno gains it made. That is an expensive intake to just throw someone's way all willy nilly, lol!! But there are a few I know who say they had theirs ported. As for the TB, I'm not soo sure it can be done.

Wouldn't think that the GT350 manifold picks up anything from being ported. Maybe from smoothing out injector bungs or casting molds sections were they meet too smooth out air flow. The runners on the manifold are bigger then the stock 5.0 heads, the front inlet is already nearly 90mm. Maybe porting a GT350 TB might get you something but since the GT350 TB design is slanted and not a straight shot it would have to be hand ported from my understanding. A member on here sent his too Maxbore awhile back and told him it was not possible for them to port it and sent it back too him. Would be nice if there was a place that would be willing to do it. As i have a GT350 tb just sitting in a box.

Well I've already spoken to the Comp many owner and he told me the gains and characteristics of driving with it he's also got lots of photos on his dacebook. Everybody knows him in the 197 crowd . Bret barber of air flow solutions

The misinformation on this forum is laughable. Here is a before and after GT350 TB. So yes it's possible and he's done a lot of them.

Yea I figured the bad info came from MAXbore, I was told they are a laughing stock in the porting/machinest world.
This guy is legit and has the backing to prove it. He does it for a living and does it for moto gp and more. He flow tests his stuff and makes sure it's done to make power not just to open it up.
