The K060888 is too short to fit on my car. I tried a bunch of different ways but with everything else in the way I was not able to get the belt on. It's possible if I could have reached down to the crank with another set of hands I could have slipped the belt on but that is not an option with everything connected like hoses and stuff. Going to order the K060891 today.
Is this with the new belt routing and double idler pulley setup?
I wouldn't stray away from whipple the few of us that are having the chirping issues are getting well taken care of. Whipples customer service is the best I've delt with. It honestly just a chirping sound nothing is getting broken or damaged just an annoyance. I don't regret one penny I've spent with whipple especially after meeting Dustin in person, him and his crew are awesome! I honestly think if you choose another kit you will regret it. My car is faster than some local bigger blower cars that are on e85 and have professional dyno tunes and I'm on a carb legal email tune that doesn't have to be data logged and revamped. And I haven't even really beat on the car as bad as I want because of the stock driveshaft and half shafts lol
As long as its not a detrimental issue, im fine with a squeel now and then. As long as the customer service is good and they are working with you guys to solve the problem, ill keep it on my list for next week. Thanks!
Yeah not all are having the belt chirp issue for sure. For me it happened ever so slightly after 3k miles and turning my belt around did the trick. Whipple quality service and customer loyalty is amazing. I can't tell you how many times they have ovenighted me things that really didn't need to be or were not there responsibility. Dustin the owner is always on this forum, he is a Mustang enthusiast like all of us and is always there to help or listen
