Alright for any Kenne Bell guys out there. I have a 3.2 liquid cooled on my 2016 gt. Ever since install I've had a belt chirp problem. I've replaced multiple belts tried the gatorback belt. I called kenne bell and they told me I needed to shim my water pump pulley out. They sent me the shims and I installed them. I had a wobbly supercharger pulley so I replaced that too. The result is always the same. It's quiet for a day maybe two then it comes back. It looks like the belt may be wearing on the edge but I can't find where it's rubbing. My next plan of action is to replace my belt tensioner and idler pulley. Please help this is driving me insane!

Yeah it's crazy I have a buddy with a procharger that's having the same issue. I just don't get it. You'd think that for the money you'd be able to get a problem free kit.

Hmm, that is odd for sure. The only new variable is the supercharger and the longer belt of course. Have you tried removing and reinstalling the supercharger pulley on the snout?
I dont have this issue, been about 12,000 miles of care free driving really with my 3.2

I had this issue in my Vortech back in 2011. It was simply a pulley slightly out of alignment. They need to aligned in the same plane with a tight tolerance.

To the guys having this problem, they do make a laser thats sits on your pulley and shoots a beam around your belt to see if u have a misalignment problem. This way u can eliminate that and see if its pulley that has to much play in it,most likely one of these is the problem.

To help you out, the chirp comes from belt misalignment. Therefore, you have something that is out of alignment, just need to find what it is. In some cases, loosening the manifold bolts and moving the SC forward or back to max may help. If you have a Gates laser alignment tool, it may help to show where the issue is. A simple trick is use a water bottle, squirt each idler where the belt rides, if the noise goes away, its usually in that area.

I've got some belt chirp I'm diagnosing as well. It is intermittent. I could be loud as hell in the morning, and then by late afternoon it is almost gone. And sometimes it will chirp all day long. It's really annoying. I can't even hear the blower whistle at lower speeds. I was offered up a belt alignment laser, I may take that person up on it.

I had the same issue but I have the 8 rib.

I replaced the belt tensioner and it helped ( not sure if it's the same with the 6 rib but it is an OEM 13 GT 500 tensioner )
I am going to be swapping to a a thump billet tensioner as I figure just a matter of time before it happens again .

With my Whipple I had a chirp but with their latest spacers to fix the alignment mine is working perfectly. Never a chirp of weird belt wear.

My advice would be to use a straightedge on each of the pulleys to the next one and try to isolate which pulley is out of alignment. It can be a challenge to find but hopefully will be an easy fix.

The variable here is the water pump.. we've spent countless hours helping to develop 8 and 10 rib kits for the KB systems. The flange on the pump is pressed on. We've seen variation in the installed depth of these flanges that vary by as much as .015". That's enough to cause misalignment and noise.
