And unless I missed it on the track, I don't think cars # 3, 12, and 15 were used.

I do know a Competition Orange was in the garage next to our assigned cars but I don't think it was assigned to anyone.

What's so cool about this is that sooner or later many of us would have shared the same..... well you know what I mean.

I just noticed helmets in those shots. We actually did not have to wear ours during any of the off track exercises. Kind of crazy when I think back to the braking exercise on the triangular track.

Strange yeah. The only session we didn't wear helmets was during the skidpad exercise.

Btw if any of you are going to attend you can bring your own gear such as a helmet if you want. I didn't bring my helmet but did bring my driving gloves.

I don't remember exactly but I think mine was in the teens... low teens. I asked about the history of the cars and first of all they're all MY2016 models (early VINs) and UMC have had them there since last year courtesy of Ford. They said the Track Attack program is officially approved for 3 calendar years (2016 through 2018) so those cars will stay there at UMC for the entire duration of the program. They all belong to Ford so maybe eventually they will be returned and auctioned (?) out... who knows. Or maybe they'll stay and be converted into GT350-FRS type of race-prepped cars for further racing school programs.

What happened to the Boss 302 cars from that program? I do know some ended up being gutted and turned into pure race-prepped Boss 302 FRS cars to be used there at the Ford Racing School. Not sure though if all of them ended up that way or ??

The FR500S cars were sold directly by Miller as far as I know. I'm not sure if they let go of any Bosses at that time or if it was the entire fleet that was converted to 302FRS spec. I do know they have a fair amount of them, they had 12 in the garage that we used for the second day. They might've had the rest of them in another garage somewhere.

I think one way or another it'll end up repeating the same cycle. After the GT350 TA program is done, they'll convert them to full race spec and they'll be the school/NASA cars and then they'll sell the Bosses.

A race-prepped GT350-FRS would be sweet.... I'd look forward to driving that.

Btw here is a video I took during our shuttle van ride with an Instructor explaining in detail (in 2 laps) the driving line for the West Track. I remained quiet even during the background chatter... but grinned. :lol:

My favorite sections were Scream (turn 4) and also Demon-Devil-Diablo (turn 7)
