Here is what I did to mine last night. I know it's not as clean of a job as a rectangle license plate but this was my solution based on all the different corners and shapes.

I had one in high school too, what a piece of shit. Mine had a rough life and then I got ahold of it when I was 16. Hopefully my 2017 Shelby is a better car.

Cleaned up the exhaust tips and applied adhesive backed foam to the backside of the license plate to protect the paint in that area.

The base warranty still applies I am just not able to register any extended coverage.
