I agree that ride quality is excessive. That's why I asked is omeonencould directly compare the two and be able to say one is more or less comfortable than the other, not that either are comfortable in and of themselves. No ZCP m4s around me here to test.
I don't own an M4 but I did test drive one. The interior and ride is nicer than the Mustang IMO. However, the exhaust sounds crappy, the M4 is much more expensive, and the little buttons in the M4 are very cheap feeling. I think the M4 is for you if looking good is more important and money doesn't matter much and the Mustang is for performance at a good price. Depends on what you want.

The Mustang is going to have the more comfortable ride over any M3/4 ZCP or not.

But, the Mustang (non GT350) is going to feel a bit more floaty and have more body roll than the M3/4.

I've always described the engine note as "agricultural".

I did drive a 6spd manual 2015 M4, I liked the rev-matching down shift feature and it certainly had performance. I should try to drive another one again just to compare to the mustang now that I know how it feels.

I always felt the coyote in this car reminded me a ton of the 4.9L S62 V8 in the e39 M5's. Very linear smooth power delivery in both.

Might swing by my friends dealer tomorrow and see if I can drive a e90 m3 or F82 m4 to compare to my s550 PP.

Driving my buddy's E92 reminded me of my RSX-S on steroids. That lack of torque is very deceptive when you put the pedal down as far as how it is translating to triple digit speeds. When I lived in The Woodlands, everyone and their brother had an M3 (very affluent area). Myself and one other Boss 302 were the only ones you would see day to day. I don't think I could handle the fake/awful exhaust note of the M4. I could afford it, just never been into the luxury cars and the interior of the Premium GT and SS is so much better now that you have to really want the status symbol aspect of a BMW to justify the cost at this point, IMO. On a side note, the E46 is one of my favorite all time cars.

Bottom line is I'm going to have to find one to drive. I don't care if I'm seen in a mustang, a BMW, or a rolls Royce. I just want a fast, sporty car that won't beat me up on a daily basis...and has a relatively quiet cabin. Already ruled out Audi, Cadillac, and the camaro for various reasons. MB C63S is a contender but reviews indicate it's loud and stiff.

Very true, not one lazy gear in an E92 M3. Yes it only makes near 300ft/lbs of torque, but it makes it at 2800rpm all the way to near redline. Its flat as a table.

Not to mention the car is geared very aggressively, hence the terrible fuel economy. My E92 M3s fuel economy is equal if not worse than most SUVs.

Going back to the F8X M3/4 though, the interior is put together much nicer than the Mustang. I disagree on the knobs feeling cheap, although we can differ on this as it really is subjective. I do feel the quality of the materials of the F8X cars has gone down somewhat vs. the E9X M3 and I am not the only one who feels this way. The doors don't shut with the same thump as the E9x cars due to BMW going for more weight reduction. The F8X cars got larger yet dropped near 100lbs.

One of the main advantages to the M4 over the Mustang is the rear seat room. You can actually fit a 6' person back there with absolutely no issues. Would I want to be that 6' person back there on a 6hr. road trip...probably not. The Mustang on the other hand wasn't much better than my 07 Porsche 911S, really for small children only. This is not an issue with the F82.

To me it would be what my budget can afford, the Mustangs plastic on the inside of the car was a huge turnoff to me. I am not saying the BMW is perfect, but in my eyes it wasn't even close. It shouldn't be as a base Must GT Premium with PP is a $41K car while the M4 is $66K, easily a +$25K delta.

I lease my vehicles as I am able to write off the deduction due to my business. The M cars lease a whole better than the Mustang, in fact my payment on a 2017 M4 ZCP car would only be $200.00 more per month. What stops me from getting rid of my E92M3 is the fact I absolutely hate the way the F8X car sounds...the ZCP car is a step in the right direction...but those turbo farts are just awful.

If the Mustang just stepped up the game a tad more in the QC department as well as bringing up the materials a notch or two more in quality, to me it would be a no brainer...the Mustang.

You know you are getting old when things like fit and finish along with build quality mean more sometimes than all out performance numbers.

Running costs. Which head do you think with. You want wifey material everyday or the super model.

Your going to seriously complain about the plastic in a car that's a full 30 grand cheaper??? that's like me saying a Nissan Versa is a little cheaper on the interior plastics! Who woulda guessed?

Well then you obviously missed the reason of the OPs post. He is comparing the two vehicles. How do you not bring this up? Are you arguing just to argue...either way I don't really care. I am not the only one who brought this up in this thread, why are you just bringing up my post? Either way your response in inconsequential.

If you don't care just quit typing. The fact that you keep replying says you do care.:headbonk:

I recommend you sensitive types use the ignore feature. Wouldn't want you to be offended repeatedly.;)
