3600-4200 stalls on a DD??? I take it you all drive on the freeway alot and not so much in stop and go city traffic?
Yikes! That would be a killer in my stop and go.

Thanks for posting these :)

The first one at 2:44 made me WTF and I chuckled at the SUV squealing like a pig in the second video. Looked like the guy was rev'ing the engine up above stall speed to get the car going and then sort of keeping it at a low engine speed the rest of the time. Whereas I can see that fitting the title of driveable, not really something I'd see myself doing in a car that is 99% street driven/1% tracked. But again, this video helps demonstrate what it would be like to see if it is something you would want to live with.

Do you all end up having to put in transmission coolers when you street a car with a moderately high stall like these? I'd imagine it gets hot with the stock cooling system.

The stock transmission cooler and lines are huge and more than up to the task of cooling the transmission.

Are you talking stock or adding in the higher stall converter? Slipping is a bitch on Chevy transmissions.

If you want just a little more then Circle D will rework your stock converter to get you about 500 more rpm stall speed. That only cost $550

You can buy an FTI converter for around 800.00 new. Per FTI , triple discs aren't needed until you hit around 1000+ hp. They have been my converter of choice from the days of x275 racing and I'd gladly buy a converter from someone who will work with me to get the stall speed as I see fit.

Either or the stock setup works great. I ran a Circle D 4C with the stock cooler and lines and it was fine.

Circle D would be my only choice for a converter in my opinion. Get the best when it comes to a converter.

i got stage 3 cams being installed and with cams you have to have a stall speed for drive-ability. My tuner assures me that with the tune it will have stock like drive ability.

You shouldn't need a higher stall converter for the cams..

It'll help, but supposedly the new Stage 3 cams are much more livable than the old ones.

Drive ability isnt the only benefit the car will be much quicker with my 5c converter...but its all about the tune!!!

I don't think I could daily drive a car with a converter. I live in the hills of Tennessee and I'd hate to rev my car to 3 grand plus on every hill. What is the stock stall speed? I'm not really schooled on converters so I need to do some research.
