Hey Dave,
Thanks for keeping us in the loop on your projects!

I've read that some GT350 rear bumpers have sagged- just wondering how you mounted yours and if you used any of the bumper supports?

BTW, nice truck!

I designed a bracket that mounts to the frame at the same location as the brackets for the rear belly pan on each side of the heat exchanger, using the existing mounting holes. I need to weld mounting tabs to the aluminum heat exchanger to align with those brackets. I had Fluidyne leave them off so I could determine the best mounting configuration due to the limited space and my plan to fit the largest radiator possible.

I think the cost of the track pack transmission is in the 3k range. I see that kit being around $4000

Except, apparently they don't really stock them and who knows how long it would take to get one.

Plus, at that price you might as well take that 6k (guessing at what labor would be to install it) plus the potential cost of a diff cooler and just get a 17. Which, I'm guessing the price and low to no availability is semi designed to do.

The heat exchanger was $420, Pump was $215, Hoses and connectors are about $85. The rest such as brackets, switch and wiring are from materials that I have lying around.

All of that from Fluidyne. Do you have part numbers you can share. Would like to order them up.

Transmission Warranty

I signed up for a track day and I'm going to run the Tech. F*** it. Sick of feeling like I can't do what I want with the car. Should be in the 60's so I might be able to skate away with a full day of 15 min runs.

Even at 60 it will be hard to get in a 15 min. run the first session and the rest of the sessions just get worst. I have been tracking my 2016 tech as often as I have time for. I have tracked at all kinds of temps cool and hot and it makes no difference. Your first run will be the longest and each run after that will get shorter, I have seen this happen so many times now that I know how long each run will last. I will continue to track the car and are hoping the trans will fail. I obtained a printout from my dealer on information about PO218 and P1783 codes. I will not restate the whole paragraph but this is the important part. "Customers should be reminded to refer to the owners guide for recommendations on sustained high speed or track and also possible warranty implications". Notice "possible warranty implications". Will Ford replace my transmission when it fails probably not. Remember all codes are stored on your cars computer. Ford new way in advance that this situation would arise and did they cover there ass.
I would like to thank Ford Performance again for offering to the public the all time worst track capable car known to the modern automobile industry.

Only the radiator comes from Fluidyne, not sure there is a part number, it is a custom part built to my specifications.

You know there was a meeting between some Ford Exec, the engineers, marketing, and some lawyers.

Marketing: We need it to hit $50K MSRP
Engineer: The only way to do that is remove the coolers, but it will cause the car to over heat on the track
Exec: How can we avoid being responsible even though we made claims prior to packaging it?
Lawyers: Place statements in the owner's manual about sustained high speed or track with possible warranty implications

Looked up their website, makes it seem like you can toss these babies around with no problems...how much do each side weigh? Add jack rails, now you're cooking with gas!!

Yeah, they're "portable" (making air quotation marks with my fingers right now.) I think each one weighs ~92 lbs. Not light by any stretch. They have little wheels on one end to make moving them easier. I bought the BL-7000SLX so I can lift my F-150 as well. I think I can probably get them in the 5.5' bed should the need arise. I plan to start solo'ing at some point so it will be nice to be able to take them with.

You can get a 3500 lb. and 5000 lb. max lift capacity model, too, which are a little less expensive.

And yeah, I think jacking rails are a good idea.

Have to slide them. They come with long metal handle thingies for doing so. You can see them in the photo still in the plastic on the left.
