While I appreciate that many may think its reasonable, or that these solutions are acceptable, The warranty issue alone to me is a deal breaker. Ford has lost a previously ford household for life. Auto loan credit is cracking, recession is here for many sectors of the economy, auto sales are going down further. -1 raptor sale, -1 focus sale, -1 expedition lease for 2016. If they do not want to listen to me, that's fine. I don't have to continue buying their automobiles or supporting their dealers.
I've given Ford a boat load of money over the years myself (6-F150s, 2-Escorts, a Fusion, and 3 mustangs to include a Boss and GT350) and I am a die hard Ford guy so it will be hard for me buy Chevy or a Dodge but if Ford doesn't take some of the responsibility for this cooler issue, I may trade for a Chevy for the 1st time in my life. The new Vets do look sharp.

As for Ford taking responsibility, I'm not asking for Ford to give me new transmission or a trans cooler kit but at the very least they should not void the warranty on the transmission if we do decide to add a trans cooler kit.

Never buy a first model year of any car.

Never buy an iphone when it comes out.

Never buy a TV without seeing one first.

Common sense:)

I am sure 99% of you wouldnt buy the base car had you waited 2-3 months and watched the forums/reviews discuss this issue.

I bought the base car and mechanically it has been fine including tracking it 3 different days with no limp mode. However fit, finish and paint is another thing. As I have said each gt350 has had different issues and no one can tell even the track pack and R's have never seen limp mode. I have personally seen it and a friend who had a 2016 race red track pack that lived in limp mode with Ford dumbfounded? Right? He just traded it on a 17 GS Vette. I'm sure ford doesn't have an answer and that is the most discerning news.

Well technically, most of us didn't buy the first model year.

I like to disassemble things.
By taking that stance they are saying that we should had known that limp mode was going to be an issue and that an unmodded Mustang GT could last longer on a track than the GT350.

This is a huge issue that Ford is choosing to basically ignore and its solution seems to be as half assed as the GT350 program was to start.
What people have said, including myself, is that a car that is intended to be tracked should be equipped appropriately. And in this case, the necessary coolers. Nobody forced anyone to purchase a car without them. But that doesn't help you and you've made that abundantly clear. Ford is nearing release of a solution, one that you've made known that you don't approve of.

Good luck with your own remedy. In the meantime, Ford will soon have hardware available to mitigate the issue.

You should perhaps read every page, from the very beginning and realize your points are just as tired, have been old for months before you bestowed your post on page 85 of this thread and should just stfu already, particularly if you have no skin in the game. Talk about around and around.
I've been following this thread from the beginning, and this subject is one of the reasons why I didn't buy the tech pack that was available to me at the beginning of the year. Just because I don't post in it regularly doesn't mean that I'm not aware of the issues.

Unfortunately, I let some posts get under my skin and made a an ill-advised post of my own. I'll try to do better.

Best of luck to all, and I hope that this issue is eventually resolved to everyone's satisfaction.

Don't you mean you didn't buy a tech pack because of these issues?

a lot of cars that are tracked don't have coolers and can complete typical HPDEs

Nobody force Ford to misrepresent their product.

It's been over a year for ford and officially they still haven't acknowledged that they are working on a fix.

The rumors assoiciateted with the rumored Ford "solution" that they have been working on for a year. They are going to let use buy the parts that they already have on the self. No packaging these items together, no discounts, no warranty. This all equals no support or caring.

Spot on, though it's not just about the track. The focus has been on tracking, understandably. However, that's not the only limitation (flaw) that requires a solution.

Who would be silly enough to buy a tech or base GT350 and expect to be able to drive it fast:

"Operating at High Speeds and on Track Days.

"For sustained high speeds or track day use with a Base or Tech model, we recommend that transmission and differential coolers are added."

I'm looking for the ads that claimed that the GT350 models equipped without the necessary coolers were "the most track capable mustangs ever." Wait, that's right - Ford didn't say that (see the chart Colleton linked earlier).

You have always had the opportunity to buy the requisite cooling pieces from Ford, including when you made the decision to buy a GT350 (not to imply that finding an R or Track Pack was ever easy - it ain't).

Ford Racing is nearing release of certain parts aimed at mitigating the issue of trying to track a car that wasn't optioned with the necessary coolers. You can buy them and install them - or not. You once again will have the option to make a choice.

Why are you being rational. I wasted my time reading all the press releases the false advertising angle is laughable. People want to spend 60k in a car with no research this will happen.
