I wouldn't be worried about bottoming out, but I'd be concerned with dirt and water getting in the turbo's.

I noticed that you have the hellion kit which mount's up top so possible road debris is not an issue. Is your car a manual or auto ? the picture's show that there is an extension piece from the inlet of the turbo which places the filter somewhere in the vicinity of the intercooler in the bumper. I do see your point though that it would be more susceptible to dirt, water spray or other contaminants being that it is mounted underneath will require more frequent filter maintenance for sure.

I understand the whole point of putting the turbo's under the car, less piping/quicker spool/dissipate heat, but only time will tell if that location is a bad idea for dirt/debis/water. Hopefully it is not an issue and there are no problems.

Other than the hot side piping being shorter there still is a lot of piping on the cold side. The concept of placing the turbo's underneath is nothing new way back in the day there was a company called st turbo I think that had the turbo's mounted at the rear of the car, imagine the debris those filters were subject to. I remember seeing a 2007 GT500 that had turbo's mounted underneath as well and if I recall it was a system done by hellion. It all depends on the turbo sizing but in general I would say that having the turbo's as close to the manifolds as possible would increase the transient response especially on a manual car, however from the video's that I've seen those 55mm turbo's seem to spool up quick but I believe there will be a backpressure problem at the higher hp levels. 62mm would be the best of both worlds IMHO.

Good point, turbos appear to be at (or just below) K member level. But what about the piping? Take a look at this picture. Is this a prototype or the current production piping? Definitely appears to be routed under the k member. Definitely scrape that open over time...

I see what you are saying I think it is just the angle as the picture I saw from underneath the car with the system installed, the discharge piping runs parallel with the lower rails of the K member. I do know that the hellion pipes hang low on the discharge side and exhaust and they don't seem to be a problem.

What we need here is a picture taken parallel to the k member to see what really hangs low, and how much. I had the steeda gtrac brace and that thing scraped regularly. If this system is lower than that, I will most surely scrape. Maybe the OG hellion kit is worth another look...

Check out BXR motors on Instagram there is some dyno video footage, and you should be able to hear the exhaust note.

Any dyno graphs, pics of a production kit on a car at ground height from under, and or track times?

Lots of pics on this thread and also on our Instagram page "twinturbomustang".

Fresh dyno graphs and more 1/2 mile times will be posted up as well. Stay tuned as we will have lots of new data & pics to come.
