Hey Tom,
Again, thanks for the post. I appreciate your perspective and info shared! Really like the GT350 and it will

Be prepared for ford to tell you the same thing that Chevy is telling z07 owners. The 2017 has improved cooling. You can purchase the new model.
I already am prepared that that is going to be the read between the lines answer.

But, I'm not doing it. I'll go aftermarket cooling solution first (if no credible FP solution happens before next spring) or move on from Ford before I do that.

Consumers get to make choices as well. :bolt:

Edit: I also believe there is active litigation from the early C7 Z06 owners at least. You want to talk about false advertising......that one is a very clear case.

Tomster;1490495.Keep in mind that Ford is a large corporation. Things happen slow. Also keep in mind that anything Ford puts out is subject to liability. I don't think that they can just whip out a kit without extensive testing. Case in point said:
Ford should address them with an answer one way or the other[/B].
This is all I really want at this point, which is answer to they are either going to do something (besides a full track transmission swap) or not and a reasonable timeline (if they are). My contacts at my dealer are still surprised that nothing has been announced about the tech/base cooler situation. They to were under the strong impression that FP was working on something and it would be released during the summer.

I get your other points and do not wish for litigation, threats or to make enemies at FP (or anywhere). Nor do I wish to hassle a bunch of people that have no say in what is going on here. But, I am a consumer of an expensive item I purchased from Ford and think I (we) deserve at least some basic answers instead of getting led on forever.

FYI - some of you know I've been in contact with someone at Ford Performance emailing information about the pending coolers. I've posted the information from him on here in the past.

Today he sent me a link to this thread and asked whether I'm participating. I had never mentioned this forum to him in the past.

Just an FYI to the members here that Ford Performance and probably Ford as well is paying attention and they care about how we feel. They may have some legal limitations on what they can say and do publicly, but they are listening.

Well I hope that can see the frustration and use that to prioritize whatever solution they are working on.

I agree. Don't go TRACKCRAZYGT350 (pun intended) and do something irrational. Maybe you all should decide on a single spokesman for your group and try to work diplomatically with ford performance.

When I call those guys up to inquire about my R order (yes I'm still waiting), I do it once a week. Isaac told me that once a week is perfectly acceptable. I'm sure that etiquette would parallel your situation.

I do feel that if this is in the works, you should be given timely updates. I also think that it would be foolish to expect ford to rush into something just for the sake of making an extreme minority of base and tech owners happy when there are liability and safety concerns.

Again, I would proceed carefully, with respect, but also with concern. I don't think it is in anyone's best interests to go TRACKCRAZYGT350 (again, pun intended) and burn the place down. I think I'm finished now. I'm going to get out and enjoy a nice drive in my GT350. :)

I have been reading this post since I bought my 16 tech. I loved the car and recently got back from driving it on Tail of the Dragon. It was simply amazing.

However, I bought the tech package before it became known that less than 20 min on track would send it into limp mode. I have to say my faith in Ford was shaken severely. I wanted a car that would be easy to live with on a daily basis (Tech conveniences) and still have fun on an occasional track weekend. Since the GT350 is by design a car sold as track capable I think it was totally reasonable to expect a tech package car to hold up to HPDE weekends. I think it is borderline fraud that Ford now claims that for HPDE you MUST purchase a track pack (or 17) to hold up to occasional spirited driving that would be no problem in a GT.

I consider it near fraud that Ford now claims that we should have known in advance that a product held out as a drivers car cannot complete a 20 minute HPDE session. I am severely disappointed with Ford and their lack of commitment to those of us willing to pony up 60K for a flagship product incapable of living up to the implied promise of performance.

I am frustrated beyond belief. I stopped by the Chevy dealer on the way home and am likely doing something I've never done before. Buying a Chevy Corvette. Update - couldn't to it. Have a 17 on order.

Thanks Ford - it's been nice knowing you for my 84 GT Turbo, my 89 5.0 LX, My 91 GT convertible, 99 V6, 01 Cobra, 03 Cobra, 12 GT and 12 Boss. Never again!
Thanks for that post. My feelings are exactly like yours.

Would you like to join are mass call in to Ford Performance on Sept. 12th?

this quote is part of an email from Ford Performance said:
I don't mind you relaying this because I figured I could clear the air on some items for you guys.

The main thing is that there seems to be a lot of doubt that Ford Performance Parts is working on anything for the Tech/Base cars.

We certainly are, but also remember that we are a much smaller group than most people think, MUCH smaller. After meeting with our product team, we've determined we're about 6-8 weeks out on customers being able to order the kit including the radiator, lines, etc. This seems like an easy exercise, but in reality, it is not.

As far as the members signed up to call on Monday or Tuesday, that's what we are there for-to talk to enthusiastic owners like yourselves. Please be patient if everyone decides to call at the same time, because we're only a few guys. This is not your average cable service's customer service hotline-we are real car people, enthusiasts ourselves, and enjoy the opportunity to speak with you guys.

I know there's a lot I cannot address, and I don't have all of the answers everyone is looking for, and I apologize for this.
FYI. I hope this is helpful. :ford:

I think this email sent to me and partially quoted above was an attempt by Ford Performance to try to help forum members understand the current situation and provide a best estimate for delivery of a solution

Hack I'm a bit confused. Was this a private message sent to you from Ford Performance? Why did they send it to you personally and just not post it to everyone?
It was quoted from an email sent to me tonight by an employee of Ford Performance.

I don't know the answer to your second question. I would be speculating if I tried. I edited the original post to try to improve clarity.

I do agree that when we do call ford performance it should done in professional tone and not ripping ford for the issue.Hopefully we can start to let them know that we just want a answer if there is anything definitely in the pipeline for us.Me personally I'm fine with with some cost for the upgrade.I only have my car for six weeks and have heard of the problems but I wanted DIB so I'm stuck.
My other issue is on every other board on this site ford will respond to problems that people are having ,I dont remember ever seeing ford on the gt350 board since I joined .Hopefully they are lurking on here and when we call on the 12th we recieve some kind of answer .
