Fortune Auto 500 Series - Experiences?

I've been looking for some coilovers for a while, and when I had my friend (who has been racing for 20 years) drive my car, his one gripe (besides the weight) was the loose suspension. He said the car took "forever" to load weight up on the front wheels when going in to a corner, and I know what he's talking about (I just haven't had the luxury of driving dozens of street-legal race cars, so I don't know the range of what's possible). I would certainly like to have a more "locked in" feel to the car--I just don't want to be punished by every bump on the road.

He had a few recommendations, most of which were out of budget (I'd like to stay under 2k for parts). Then, a buddy recommended Fortune Auto, so I looked into them and got a recommendation from them to use their 500 series.

It is adjustable from 1-3 inches of drop, and I believe you can adjust the front response rate (not the rear according to their chart).

My car is a daily driver, but my commute is only 5 minutes. Besides that, I drive it for pleasure, which is often "spirited" driving, but is sometimes longer day trips with my wife, and my wife likes a "comfy" ride (but she does appreciate the Stang and drives stick as well as I do :love.

Any comments on Fortune Auto and/or the 500 Series on the S550?

Any recommendations for an installer in CT/NY/NJ?

my car was used for the prototype so it's the first car with fortune autos but i have 510s, they ride great and handles amazing. there's pretty much no body role. i recommend them

Are they a true coil over system in the rear? Or just a replacement strut with a new spring

Rebound charts

By the way,

1) How do I read the attached chart? I've tried several times to make sentences like, "At 1.0 inches/second of upward rebound speed, a force of between -40 and -190 lbs could be applied, depending on the setting" but they always leave me confused.

2) How do I translate this into how it will feel on the road?

3) If there's such a thing, what would a "low quality" version of this chart look like? Would it be "flatter"? Would the amount of shaded regions shrink?

4) What does the shaded area represent? Adjustability?

5) What does the zero represent? No force in either direction? Or is this the resting position?

They are a really good company. They are actually close where I work and about to have another open house. I went to it last year and their shop is very clean and the product is well built.

From what I can remember they're separate in the rear since the stock way is set up with a strut and one stubby spring. But both front and rear are fully adjustable in height and stiffness.

i honestly don't think it's possible the way the rear is set up, its the same way for BC and any other coilover manufacturers.

what do you mean by "true coilover"? This car's rear suspension is designed with the spring separate from the strut. I'm curious if there is a suspension that somehow changes that. My 08 si was designed the same way and when I did coilovers, the rear simply had an adjustable top perch for the spring.

i google searched images and it looks legit. Seems like they implement a plate to mount a shock in spring coilover. I wonder how functional they are. This is very intriguing.
