Here is a pic of the tap
BTW - the tap that comes with the MSD is garbage, I don't recommend using it. Its best to cut, splice, and solder. 2nd best option would be a 3M tap like I used. strictly my opinion. Everything else is PnP. You can get ground behind the drivers side head or anywhere that is convenient for you.

^can confirm. first installation attempt was dysfunctional due to lack of shielding penetration due to that shitty tap; got it to work the second go around. i'll be soldering when my side heals from the pain of contorting myself in that damn footwell!!

Forgive me but why do we need the 2 step if we have launch control from factory

it doesn't cut spark - and it doesn't work with advancetrac disabled or ABS fuse pulled. rendering it pretty much useless :)

So when you are going down the track and you push the clutch in to make a shift, doesn't the MSD 2-step get triggered again at every shift?

Alright guys one more question, anyone got an idea on how to wire an activation switch on the 2 step? I'm a manual car so it will be going to the clutch switch. What do ya think just hook a toggle switch in line between the msd box and the clutch switch?

Huge thanks to member sonic for helping me out with PCM circuit identification . I was actually trying to help out another member when I decided to change my own activation wiring. Previously I was using ground activation with the lower clutch switch (Blue-Orange wire/pin 9). This works but the 2-step deactivates and goes full throttle when the clutch is just a 1/16" off of the floor and not yet fully engaged. Instead, I changed to the top clutch switch (Green-Violet wire/pin 8). I tap'd into the 22 AWG wire at the bottom of the clutch assembly near the OEM 4 wire connector. Now the 2-step deactivates and the car goes full throttle at the very top of the clutch stoke. Thanks again Sonic :headbang:

MT82 2-step = use Green-Violet wire for ground activation (either under dash or near PCM)
I installed the MSD and tapped into a green-violet wire near the OEM 4 wire connector. The red light on the MSD box illuminates when the car is running, but it turns off when I depress the clutch. Therefore, something is wrong as it should be the opposite. Anyone know what I did wrong?
