He has a LinkedIn account, but I don't. Don't know if that has contacts or the ability to send messages.

Been out of the loop for awhile. That is really disappointing that they won't allow the posts, but not surprising at all. I'm guessing it is not a conspiracy to keep this specific problem on the downlow, but probably a group of young Ford employees that has guidlines to not allow a certain level of negativity.

I'm down for a mass call in day to FP though. Let me know when and the phone number. Are you guys calling the general number found in the owners manual or a different number?

We're all concerned that the cost to resolve the transmission cooler issue for 2015/16 non-Track Pack GT350s is the principle barrier to Ford taking action, yes?

How about if Ford spread the cost across more models to improve the economy of scale?

Offer a "Track Pack" transmission "crate kit" for GT350's *and* other Mustangs?

I see Ford is now offering the "Aluminator 5.2" engine as a crate motor. I guess that means all S550 owners now have the option to own a Voodoo Mustang?

I've heard Boss owners complain about their transmissions. Why not offer a kit more owners could opt for? I suspect a lot of builders would like the opportunity to grab this Tremec for their car.

Then, maybe Ford could consider "good faith" sharing of labor cost to 2015/16 GT350 owners to help with the swap...

Hi Guys,

Now to your question! I have both active and passive cooling systems for the GT350 that have been in testing and some are modular to the GTs, Ecoboost and even the V6s. Current in-cars are differential (active), manual transmission (GT & GT350 active and passive) and oil (active and passive). We're just about to release the passive parts and packages and were still experimenting with quieter versions of the active systems. The ones that have passed durability and destruction are LOUD!
I'm not always on the forums but can always be reached by email [email protected].
Thanks again!

Keith posted as an SAI employee in the GTE thread with a little info on cooler systems being developed by SAI.

I invited him the join this discussion to give us more onsite to the development. Hope he excepts.

Don't get over joyed just yet. We've been getting these kind of promises once the issue became known.

I won't truly believe any until I start to see news releases or product information of what is actually in the package.

I think before you guys go calling you need to decide what the outcome you want is reading this thread:

Some Just want a kit they can install on their techs and can track away and are willing to pay for it.

Some members think their car is defective on the street and want a fix for free

Some members think they should be able to track there techs within some limits and either want a kit they can buy or want it free

Some members think there car is fine but would like the option of a kit.

Some of these approaches might be better received then others.

With the news that Ford Performance will sell the track/R transmission to tech pack owners but there will be no warranty offered, I think the die is cast.

The main reason I've been waiting for something from Ford Performance is the assumption that Ford Performance would at least offer a warranty if we paid big bucks to buy the solution from them. Now that it looks like anything we get from FP will not be covered by a warranty.

I personally figure I will wait until spring and make the call between selling my car and buying something else, buying a track pack car or 2017 if I can find one and afford it, or adding the transmission and differential coolers to my car. I know that if I add the coolers there will probably be no warranty, so there will also be a decision between buying the parts from Ford Performance or going aftermarket. There's less incentive to buy from Ford Performance if they aren't offering any kind of warranty. Just that the parts will fit and bolt up well. I also believe that the FP parts will be good quality. They should last a long time, and in my mind the FP solution is buying me less risk of having a failure compared to most aftermarket parts rather than an actual warranty. We know the parts are good enough quality to be covered by a warranty, because they are the parts that went into the track/R cars. I'm upset with Ford, but I still think in general their stuff is quite good. It's just that they really messed up on the tech/base GT350s.

Personally I knew what I was buying and I did not have any issues. I always planned to add additional cooling down the line to prolong life of both. I just didn't expect this to be such pain since both trans and diffs are the same (did not know pumps were internal). Either way me personally I'm good with a kit for both and realistically I don't think it will be free. I think the mass phone calls just might let ford know that we are not going away.

Do we know what the normal operating temperature for the non cooler transmission is? Rather, what it's supposed to be? Lately I'm between 170-200 degrees.

I'm curious as well. I have a 15 F150 with the tow package and it has the transmission cooler for it. It also has the digital readout on the dash and it is always about 200-205 driving it normally. No towing or heavy payload anyway.

I know it isn't apples to apples especially since it is an automatic as well, but I've seen a few posts that say 200 is even too hot. Which, sounds kind of crazy to me.
