Hey Steve, i'm running the GLOC R10/8 combo on my car and after 3 days at Summit Point Main the fronts pads are done and rears are not far behind. This is also with the FTBR brake cooling kit and factory rotors. I'm still running on street tires (275/40/18 RE-11s squared) so I've been hesitant to move to a more aggressive compound. I see you are running on slicks but curious if you have experience running the Carbotech/GLOC pads on street tires?Stoli
Here is my take on the brake issues you are having.
XP10/8 combo is not sufficient for for either S197 or S550 Mustangs. I have run Carbotechs on my Mustangs for 6 years now and currently run XP24/12 combination, you will not lose pedal to the floor because of these pads and they will be economical in the long run as they will last longer than the 10/8 combo.
Sorry if this detracts from the thread, but I think this is useful info for everyone using the Carbotech/GLOC pads.
