I'm putting the car back to stock and can't find the OEM clutch spring in the garage. I'd like to buy an OEM spring or trade my Steeda spring for an OEM spring. I can send the Steeda spring first so you don't have to be without your car.
Thanks,
Pete
Figured out the limp mode; it’s from engine oil temperature getting too high, as in getting to the yellow zone on the temp gauge. Pacific Raceways has a very long front straight and if I stay in 5th, close to redline, it gets too hot. Short shifting to sixth fixed it. The car runs very close...
I was under the impression that the overheating diff didn't cause a limp mode and that was my experience until this week when the car refused to go above 6000 RPM ... maybe it was something else? I got the overheat warning along with time to change oil warning. After 15 minutes in 80F...
I believe the 2018 has dual mode exhaust as an option so that should be available from Ford. Will need a valance that works with quad tips.
I've got the Roush and plan to add valves and possibly the remote control from QTP...
I believe the stock tune will at max take advantage of up to 93 octane. So, that is about the power level you'll see with the Torco mixed with 91 even though the boosted octane is much higher. The difference in power between 91 and 93 is almost certainly imperceptible for most people.
So...
Indeed, I misunderstood which seat backs you were referring to. For me, the tires are too far from the front seat backs so I strap them down.
Good to be safe in the wild ...
RE11's aren't a particularly good track tire compared to many other choices others have listed. They are better than the PSS for sure, but not a good choice for a dedicated track tire unless wear rate is a priority.
Love the shot with the GT4. I drove a friends GT4 on the track in late July and for some reason decided to buy a GTPP the next day! Not sure what the connection is, but there it is... I ran very similar track times in both on similar tires. Both are fun, but the GT4 felt too cushy and too easy.
I like the Roush quad a lot. I've drilled a few half inch holes in the block out plate to get the sound I like.
Glad to hear the active setup is DIY possibility if I want it later.
I have both BRZ and a GTPP. As mentioned, the 1000 lbs difference is a HUGE factor in how the cars feel. My BRZ is mainly a track car but still very street-friendly; could easily be a DD. It has the Jackson Racing supercharger which is good for about 280HP. When I switch between them it is...
