Looking for input from whipple owners regarding the whipple tune and flight control. Were the tune and flight control a large factor in going with a whipple kit? If so, why?

This will be my first entry into FI and I am in learning mode. Looking at the whipple stage 2 kit for my auto GT (93 octane) and would like some input on what whipple has to offer beyond the hardware. Thanks.

Absolutely for me!
The whipple tune is engineered by whipple and Ford... It utilizes all the engine saftey features offered by the oem tune. i have had zero issues, no check engine lights, no mis fires, nothing... it is an animal but smooth as stock when just cruising.

i had zero issues installing the kit. looks factory...
i do like the flight control as you can turn the power down by gear. im onstock all seasons. i have 1st at 75%, 2nd at 80% and the rest are 100%

I just ordered my Whipple and their tune and software was the main deal maker for me. The overall quality of the kit (from reading on here)and that it looks great under the hood helped as well. I've had enough of the remote tune crap and knew I didn't want to do that again. When I started looking at FI again I happened to read about the Whipple software and how it can adjust to different t pulley sizes and octane. That was all I needed to hear as I knew I would want to get more power out of the stock kit eventually but didn't want to have to custom tune it. You get a 10 sec ET/130+mph capable system with their software. I don't think I've heard it done yet but I think it's possible to get real close to the 9s with their tune once some better weather comes and with enough traction.

The power you get on the tune and having the flight control is what sold me. I was torn between the whipple and a JTb. I decided to get the whipple because I know I'm not going to want more than 700whp. Both kits would easily do it but one had flight control. If I wanted to shoot for the moon it would have been a JTb kit.

Just ordered the Stage 2 kit yesterday. The software and overall details of the kit for the money is what made the deal for me. I was looking at three differant kits before I finally made my decision.

Make sure you hit up beefcake for a price. He made it a much easier decision when I saw his price. His price was so much lower than other vendors I contacted and he gave an additional discount for paying cash.

Shot you a pm:)

In the end, it all depends on your goals however, whipple does an incredible job meeting so many levels of goals. Flight control is a new and awesome addition to their already stellar kit. We've seen power levels range between 650 all the way up to 900hp with our customers. I can't even count how many installs we've done of these but still, everytime, we're surprised and happy of the quality.

If you need a price whether custom or a complete kit directly from Whipple, don't hesitate to give us a shout!

My stage 2 whipple will be here Tuesday. Started tearing the car down today, can't wait. I went with the whipple tune and like the idea of flight control software. Lethal Performance hooked me up.

With the flight control software running all you do is click and slide the tap to what you want 0-25% reduction in power it will update and save it automatically.

The Whipple flight control setup is pretty bad ass and all of our customers who run it have nothing but excellent things to say about it. End user adjustability at it's finest!!!

We're Whipple's largest US distributor so if you have any additional questions or need assistance in placing an order please feel free to give us a call.

Thanks, Jared

Is there an additional wait time for the white kit?
