Sad day for a friend

Not sure if he's on this forum someplace, but yesterday a friend of mine who is also in the local Mustang meetup (Pony Up) got hit, and run off the road by a driver who then fled the scene (supposedly he got the plate numbers, and they are being run). The car was totaled...

And it was one hell of a build. A decked-out '15 Triple Yellow with all the options, procharged, with a lot of internal work done on the motor. I don't even know the full list, but he dumped a ton of cash into the car. He was pushing just a hair shy of 1000hp to the wheels, and was going for more. It was a beautiful car, and that procharger was LOUD. It wasn't the smaller kit procharger -- he had a bigger one (I forget the name of it, you all may know though). The car sounded like a semi truck if it was in the lane next to you.

Local Tampa peeps probably know the car, it was semi-famous around here. Really sad that it's gone, but glad my friend was okay. He got out of the car without a scratch on him, apparently.

Hopefully they nail the guy who ran him off the road.

Man sorry to hear this. Hopefully they catch the person who caused it. On a side note my son called last night and wrecked his SRT-4. He's bummed but ok and that's what really matters.

No aftermarket insurance. So there is speculation about a forthcoming part-out.

I never understand why people always have hatred towards Mustangs.
Somehow this 30k sports car makes people do stupid things.
I have people drive like jerks around me all the time when I am just cruising around.
