Parking Lights are Different

Hello everyone,

I purchased a new (48 miles) 2015 GT Premium a week ago.

I noticed the driver side parking light and lens is different than the passenger side. I searched google, on here, etc. but can't find an explanation. I've look at lots of pictures online and only found 1 that had the same driver side light/lens but couldn't see the passenger light/lens so don't know if it matched the driver side or not.

My car was sold to me as new, and I don't suspect it was wrecked. But my driver and passenger parking lights/lenses are different from each other. When the headlights are on the driver side parking light is clear white in just a small section closest to the grill. The passenger side is solid amber. When I lock or unlock the car the remaining section of the driver lens is amber.

I apologize if this is a really dumb question but I can't find the answer anywhere as to why they are different. The lenses (and bulbs) are actually different from each other as opposed to all of the others I've seen that match.

I've attached pictures to hopefully help. 1 (the amber on the driver side) is when the lock/unlock button is activated. The other is when the parking lights are on. I appreciate any help/info y'all can provide!

No. All bulbs work. The lenses/lights are different from one another.

After a little more research it looks like the European models have that type of lens on both sides.

So my question how did mine end up with 1 of each. I can't find any evidence of a collision or repair work but I can't imagine it came from the factory that way. Seemingly the light was replaced with the wrong one.

Wow! That's hilarious!! How did that get through QC??
I guess they just check to make sure that the lights work - not whether or not they match of are US/Euro Spec.

There is NO Q/C on the new S550 Mustang,it"s pretty easy to figure that out,just be glad it didn't come with right side drive also,count your blessings. It"s normal.

The bulb looks partly burned out, there are 2 filaments in the parking/turn bulb which is why it would light up on turn and not park, or the bulb is loose in the holder not making complete contact. The lens is from the euro production.

Here in the UAE all 2015 mustangs came with the same style you have on your passenger side (mine has these). From 2016 model year onwards they all come with your driver's side style. I assumed this was a model year difference like the hood vent indicators etc. The cars we get here in the UAE are essentially US spec although have some homologations such as speedo in kph and the bigger euro style wing mirrors.

These things happen sometimes. We had a Lincoln MKX with one standard rearview mirror on the passenger side and a BLIS mirror on the driver's side. Just one of those things. Dealer will sort it out for you.

Thanks for all the input. My main concern was if the car was damaged during transport, etc. and repaired with the wrong parts but it sounds more like this kind of thing happens from the factory sometimes.

The other odd (possibly) thing is below my stereo it says 'Shaker' but I don't have the shaker system. Just the 9 speaker system. Not sure if that is normal or not.

Mine was built at the end of the 2015 production run so I guess they put whatever they had leftover on it.
