Hmmm, I'd take that article with a grain of salt.

They state the US rear indicators are red whilst the EU ones are amber.......whilst showing a photo of the rear side markers (as far as I'm aware, for the UK at least, red rear side markers are fine - I have them on my '05)

UK cars (EU too?) require a separate "side light".....which is what appears to be incorporated into the front turn signal/indicator here (we then also have main beam and full beam)

I contacted Ford Australia to find out their take on it and what our models will have - their comment was that the DRLs will be in the headlights, not the fogs.

Unsure if the UK/EU models will be different, but I would highly doubt it since most of our stuff is straight Euro spec anyway.

The article also shows the old eu rearlights with only 2 bars but we all know since Paris that we get the us-like look with 3 drl bars in the back, can we just agree that the article is bs?

I agree and until we see the video evidence (like we did of the rear lights in Paris), let's wait to see what they have done with the front lights.

In NL you can either leave the side reflectors off (if it's a regular sized car), or they need to be all orange (front and back). So rules on this may vary between countries.

Other than that, I agree with Ace. Many of these things have been discussed numerous times here before and have already turned out simply not true (anymore).

TL;DR: Euro spec is different from US, but not too different.

If we can learn anything from past experience, we know that at this point, the Ford branches in Europe are often even more clueless than we are. The only sensible thing to do is to have our fellow US forumites stalk the factory and wait until the first actual Euro spec car rolls off the factory line. Only then we will know for sure exactly what we'll be getting.

They DO have power folding though, which is cool and very useful on this continent.
Thats helps with swallowing the bitter pill for sure. I use power folding here as well - so def find it useful (as you said its not on my Stang). Plus i'm sure you all can simply buy the US spec mirrors if you want.

Whoa! Could of had a heart atttack (even though I'm only 23) seeing that we wouldn't of gotten proper DRL's! Gee, you just saved me from cancelling my order on the mustang!:amen:

Do they fold in when you turn off the engine or does it remain a 'hit the button' job ?
