I went back out to the dealer earlier in the week to purchase my fiancée's Fusion (We got a hell of a deal) and took out a GT with premium package. I loved the leather seats, enjoyed the sound system and great display. The cooled seats was a weird feeling. I can't say Ford got it right (it feels like I wet myself).

That being said, I was able to push the car a bit more on back roads. A few times I felt like I rocked the ship too hard, and was about to flip the damn thing. I truly felt the weight of the car, and relented to use the term 'boaty'. Understandably this is a big car, and that is to be expected. A lot of people have PP, and say it helps this.

So, I mentioned this to the sales person and he basically said it didn't change any of the driving dynamic. I shrugged off his response, as he really didn't seem to know a whole lot on it.

Can those with PP answer this? While I still haven't decided between an EB or GT, I'm definitely quite unsure about PP.

I can honestly tell you from experience, I have drove a base 15 GT and drove the 15 GT/PP base. I bought the 15 GT/PP! The difference is close to the same between my 15 GT/PP and my GT 350. Now I did put Ebach pro line springs and swaybars on my PP to bring it down about an inch or so. But yes if the PP is much more stuff, better handling suspension than the straight up base.

For what you spend on the PP for what you get, it's worth it every single day of the week.

The Brembo's up front alone are going to be the first thing you notice. You can actually stop it in a hurry.

You got that right. The first time I drove it and got on the brakes, I thought I was gonna go through the windshield!

I was comtemplating hard on non-pp and pp. I was at dealership ordering my Mustang and more or less decided that I was going non-pp. BTW, there was a pp vert on the sales floor and I'm sitting in the car and checking it out etc. Salesman was printing out my sales contract and was finalising the deal. I asked him , BTW, how many of your customers ordered their Mustang with non-pp. He replied that I was the first. I said f**k it, switch my order to pp. ;) He later told me that he is sure that I would have regretted not getting pp in the long run.

That's what I was thought. The sales person didn't seem to know a whole lot.

I was thinking it would be. Just have to decide between that and the premium package. Fiancee loves the premium stuff. I do too. I think it makes the car feel more than it is worth.

I was already massively impressed with the base's brakes. I was flooring it and while not jamming the brakes, I was giving it the juice. Just a few slight turns that the weight was over powering a bit.

Hahahahahahha! I love stories of avoiding regret. That's what I was worried about. Was getting in there, going over something and then regretting it. I don't want to make another regretful decision with my purchase.

I already told him, no matter what, it has to be black and it has to be manual. The rest, I'm up in the air about.

If your up in the air you want premium, my 15 GT/PP was bought as my toy so it's a base Recaro's, but I SC'ed ,exhaust, suspension, ext just a toy. But I liked it so much with out all the frills I ordered my 16 GT350 as a TrackPack same thing, but I don't DD either of them. I have a f150 with all the screens and heat and cooled seats that I DD. If you're in doubt and plan to DD,,,,, premium. No regrets than.

I think you all are confusing Performance Package and Premium Package.

So Performance Package is a US only option Normally abbreviated PP and includes the Bigger brakes (Brembos for GT) K brace, (+ strut tower brace for GT) Stiffer springs, shocks and roll bars, shorter final drives (3.55 Eco, 3.75 GT) and center dash gauges and thicker radiators.

Premium Package is also a stateside only option which includes the bigger touch screen, Heated and cooled leather Seats Premium rear bumper and allows you to get Navigation and Shaker etc.

Export Mustangs are ALL Premium and Performance Package except the rear end which are all 3.31 on manual cars and 3.15 on Autos, No center gauges and no Strut tower bar for the GT.

Export models get a Premium Pack with Chrome Window surrounds, Silver wheels, better and softer materials inside on the doors and dash navigation premium sound system etc, Which is what KWpony is talking about.

Just so we are all on the same page of music, on the forums, the accepted convention is the PP=Performance Pack Not premium , I would say A Base PP (BPP, I just made that up)or Premium PP (PPP) to differentiate.

I literally have 0 options on my ECO, I like to call it an NPB or Non-Premium Base.

it is really hard to compare US and Export cars

I'm talking performance package vs standard base. My 15 GT/performance pack is a base model with the Recaro's. No screens H/C seats. Yes you can get a premium package with the performance package,,,, I assume that's what we're discussing? I just mentioned that if he's going to DD the car get the premium with the performance package,,,,, wow that got confusing lol

Guten abend, mine freund, Wie gehts? Yes, I'm definitely talking about the performance package. I didn't get the premium package because mine is a weekend, rip around car, and all I want from it is performance. (And air conditioning). And no 3.73 gears, strut tower brace or center gauges on the GT? Das ist Scheibe!

I'd say it's worth it for sure and I have a non-pp car.

I wanted an auto and ford sucks by keeping it from the auto buyers. It is sad because we know they can do it and did(50 LE auto cars)

This is a new topic, that hasn't been discussed before...lol.

Yeah, Perf Pack is the way to go if you found the car floaty. You also might find yourself upgrading from there as well, to improve even further. For the price of the Performance Pack, you can't go wrong, considering what's included.

Absolutely! The brembos and 19" wheels are worth it alone. The larger radiator, k-brace, strut brace & 3.73 gears are just an added bonus!
