Can anyone tell me what the distance from the ground to the front splitter is? I have a steep driveway. Ive never had a car scrape but not being able to get into my driveway would be bad.

Secondly will there be a 2018 gt350?

My GT350 is about 4" at the front outside edge and about 3" under the car if that makes sense? I have yet to scrape plastic, though I have scraped the large metal rivets that protrude about 1/4" lower. The metal rivets are along the length of the splitter underneath the car. It's not bad by any means.

Shoot! I've scraped plastic on both ends to include the fasteners. One day at the track broke the splitter in. Good thing its plastic and cheap to replace. Its going to happen!

My GT350 Tech Pack is measuring at 4" clearance in the center and 4.5" clearance at the front corners. I have a slight incline change in my drive and if I take it straight on I will hit the front splitter. I need to approach at an angle and it is OK.

You can try backing in as well, that's my plan. Probably have to back in at an angle.

I'll bet I have the steepest driveway of the forum. I picked mine up in Las Vegas drove it back to Oregon worried if I could get it up the driveway, luckily if I take it at a 45 deg angle and go slow its fine minor scraping if any at all. What is worse, lookout for spreed bumps and driveways off the street. It is plastic and replaceable and if you look under the car it is designed to have minor scrapes and scratches.

It's really sturdy, so don't worry if you do. I've done some bad things to mine and it's just cosmetic issues. From the install video all the fasteners are well protected too.

Also watch larger potholes in parking lots and back roads. The long overhang means it's easy to drop the splitter with those deeper holes.

Does the sport mode lower the ride height ?????

Struts are really soft in normal mode, sport is like a normal performance shock and will keep the wheel from compressing, preserving ride hight.

Last check the non-r was priced about $300ish... the R splitter is a discount-priced $4300.

I think the crazy R price is Ford's idea to keep R splitters off of non-R cars.

As an R owner I find it pretty annoying. I may buy a CF aftermarket splitter to save the molded plastic OEM unit.

Agree 100% on why they do it.... I have mixed emotions about it, though. It makes it hard for an R owner to buy replacement parts at that price...but at the same time it does preserve some of the exclusivity of the R.

Here's my only concern/issue. If at some point, they drop the prices on the R parts to reasonable levels....will they have been preserving the exclusivity of the car for the buyers or preserving the prices of the cars for the dealers while they were selling them? Hmmmm!
