For Sure, Paul
I love the sound of ( and the possibility of getting ) the Roush axle back, but it's not passing the "fun police" test "at the moment".

If I got H pipe and deleted the resonator, I'd be divorced

I will be happy to lend it to you, I have enough Stock exhausts at the moment to be used with or without H Pipe. That was the whole idea of collecting them so that I can always go back to resonator if its too loud.

Now thinking of starting Exhaust Hire shop.

Will be louder for sure. I researched a resonator delete with a X/H pipe and didn't like it. You lose that deep baritone and again IMO makes it sound like something from the deep southern part of Mississippi. Give it a crack, if you want loud you'll love it.

I have had three people from our street that I have never met before, approach me and tell me how nice our car sounds going past. Not a single complaint about excessive noise. It's as quiet as you want it in the cabin. Cruise at 60 kays and you dont know its there other than the v8 burble, it never gets annoying...stand on it and everyone knows it.
Have not heard the Corsa so I can't comment on them, but nothing would sway me from the Borla S. It just urges you to get in, start it and drive...the nicest sounding v8 that I have owned, and I have had a few..
Thanks Bob. I've only heard the corsa sport in person, it seemed just a bit too raspy for my liking. Don't get me wrong, it still sounds fantastic but I think the Borla s has a tad more rumble to it.

Not sure if the Corsa touring is an option? (Sport axle backs) it has the sweetest note of all the Corsa's *opinion* not fact. It sounds refined, deep and just sweet. The sport and extreme seem loud and raspy in comparison. American muscle have a good video of it.

You HAVE to use headphones or good speakers though.

Touring sounds alright but retains the factory resonator if I'm not mistaken. I want to get rid of it

H-pipe

You'd think there'd be an Aust. based manufacturer of h-pipes for our S550 V8s?

It's just 2 stainless pipes joined together.

Instead of dishing out $400+ on an imported one, someone could really cleanup locally.

It does retain it. I think that's what keeps the axle back systems in check and not too raspy or droney.

The Corsa Sport CAt Back is a Touring Axle Back plus the X pipe.

The American Muscle review give it a 'not too aggressive or mild' review.

The explanation of the configuration is about 1 minute into the video.

Any local exhaust shop will do it for you. Not a big job and will cost you around $200.

Yea I know...but I'm just surprised at the lack of local manufacturers of parts in general.

Almost everything has to be imported.

What's louder the corsa sport or Borla s type?
Haven't heard a Corsa in the wild yet, so no comparison, but as everyone is saying the video's don't do the systems justice, the Borla sounds much better in person than on the video, sound is much deeper and no where near as raspy.:D
