I'll be away for the meet but would've loved to come and to hear the Borla S-Type if anyone got it installed. I have my heart set on it and the last piece of the puzzle before I order it is to hear it live. The stang is going to be my daily commute car (not every day but most days of the week) and I was wondering if the S-Type is going to be a bit too loud for every day driving. I've asked some of you before but would love to hear more thoughts on this.

I wouldn't mind hearing a few more opinions from any S type owners or someone who has heard it in person. I've heard the corsa sport and would like to know how it sounds compared to this. At this stage I'm more inclined with going with the magnaflow street but I don't really want to buy an exhaust and be disappointed with the lack of sound. Basically tossing up between these two.

Yeah I think the Corsa is better than Magnaflow, though I prefer the Borla over Corsa for some reason - maybe the sounds from the videos isn't right and also maybe because of Borla's good marketing... I'd love to hear all of them in person and only then I'll be able to tell what exactly will float my boat :)

corsa sport went on today, really like it a lot, not horrendous whatsoever whilst cruising and nice impact when laying on rpm, don't get me wrong, totally each to their own, all personal preference, just like colour, but really happy with the way it delivers in both situations, doesn't feel like I have had to compromise at all, got a mate to do a drive by and knew, for me, it was the right choice.

I think the Corsa sport would have a nicer note over the S type..."opinion" only...and I think the S Type would be louder in the flesh than on videos. I did though really like the sound of the Borla Touring..OR Corsa Touring Axle backs...

I have had three people from our street that I have never met before, approach me and tell me how nice our car sounds going past. Not a single complaint about excessive noise. It's as quiet as you want it in the cabin. Cruise at 60 kays and you dont know its there other than the v8 burble, it never gets annoying...stand on it and everyone knows it.
Have not heard the Corsa so I can't comment on them, but nothing would sway me from the Borla S. It just urges you to get in, start it and drive...the nicest sounding v8 that I have owned, and I have had a few..

+1 on the Borla S type, totally agree, sounds great, has a really nice note and V8 burble.

Just when I thought I had made up my mind with the corsa the Borla comments come in.

Those with the Borla S-type does it actually have a deeper sound than it does in all the video's? It makes all the sounds I like but in the video's it's a little bit raspy and not as deep as I'd like. Whereas the Corsa has the deep sound I'm after but not all the other noises I'm looking for.

It is deeper than the videos...they are not the best representation of it, particularly the cjpp ones. Borlas own videos are closer. The only time it gets a bit of rasp is at high rpm...that is more a product of the coyote itself being a higher revving v8 than most usa eights and enhanced a bit by the Borla.
I understand the difficulty of buying without hearing. I was certainly not dissapointed wth my choice..I love the sound of it...but I am sure the Corsa will have it's own character and appeal as well.

Hi there has anyone installed any H Pipe exhausts? Like a Stainless works Retro H-PIPE? Do they give an old school muscle car sound?
