Makes all the difference that it's black. The chrome with that design looks terrible. It'd look great if it did not have the vertical bars, just horizontal.

Not that there is anything wrong with it, but the Lightning Blue just seems ok to me. There's nothing special about it, its just blue. DIB was stunning and unique to the Mustang at least.

Have you seen what Guard looks like when you "build and price" a Mustang online? It's like a dark forest green, nowhere near Guard.

Which is exactly why I wanted Guard, until I saw one in person...

3 model years with no real updates...

At least it's not FIVE model years like the s197.

3 years is a long time nowadays.

I'm guess the sales are so good they don't need to change but there's something to be said for pushing the product BEFORE it stagnates. I always remember Steve jobs killing off the iPod mini after it had been the best selling item - to replace it with the nano which was an even hotter sell. If he hadn't done that, he'd have missed the market.

I wish sometimes that the car guys had more victories in the boardroom.

Even with best in segment sales, they can afford to take risks on the Mustang. It's an enthusiast car and an American icon. a legend reborn to meet the desires and demands of each new generation.

And we can't even get an engine to whoop the ss?

New bodywork would be nice too. Nothing wrong with the '15-present. But progress would be nice.

On the bright side, here's hoping Ford is using the third year to pad following year development. Theyve already paid off development of this car and made a handsome profit. 2017 is icing I suppose. And that justifies 2018, which should be great.

But dang it's taking so long to get here.
