Magnaflow competition series axle-backs

I've heard a few sound clips of with Magnaflow competition axle-backs and I think they sound amazing. Very bassy old school muscle car growl. Does anyone here own these that can give an opinion on them? Its really hard pulling the trigger off of a sound clip. Thanks!

Their tone is very deep and smooth sounding. It's a little boomy under 2500 rpm and it makes me not want to go into 6th below 1700 rpm. That means my gas mileage goes down between 45 and 52 mph. Over all, I'm glad I got them, but when I get a full catback, it'll be something else, like Corsa, Solo or XForce.

ford racing by borla touring axle back exhaust,. .that's my dilemma, . Like the low sounds on the magnaflow, but also was wondering on the drone which touring gets none, , ? ? Decisions, decisions. .

Yeah, the drone isn't bad, but it's a little annoying around 1200-1500 under load.

We ran them on our car early on with our resonator delete and they sounded real nice. There was a little bit of drone in the higher gears at low rpm's but otherwise it's a really nice setup.

Well I pulled the trigger. Got a smoking deal from my local shop. Ordered and installed for way less than internet price! Very deep and bassy muscle car sound. Sounds awesome at idle. A tad louder than I expected in the cabin with acceleration. Might consider the cabin sound tube disconnect if it'll make a difference. No rasp at all with RPMS. These would be ridiculously loud with no resonator or an x-pipe! Best of all no drone at all when cruising, almost stock like on the freeway. Over all very happy. Would recommend.

I have the black series with ARH headers and catless x and it does drone but it sounds badass. You can just change the way you drive a bit to make it drone less but its there. To some its a deal breaker, but not for me.

Well I can now personally say the Magnaflows don't drone at all when cruising. It sounds almost stock on the freeway...until you drop a gear to pass ;). As others have said you definitely hear these at lower rpms when accelerating. But the sound is deep and smooth. No rasp what so ever which I prefer.

Update after a few days of driving.

I still love the sound. But when cruising on the street in 6th gear between around 1250 and 2000 say around 40-55 mph these things boom obnoxiously loud when you give it some pedal. It actually reverberates in the cabin. Its better in sport and track mode because of the higher rpm. But I don't want to have to switch modes just to avoid noise during normal driving. I'm actually considering switching to something else. Anyone have any suggestions that are similar to these but a little quieter?

I went from lethal h-pipe and magnaflow comp axleback to Corsa sport catback and I could not have been a better choice. I went with the sports because of the plan to install headers and with headers I would say it is perfect. The sports have a deep sound below 3000 rpm and then just rip after that. When cruising it is as quiet as stock. I also had bad drone with the comp axleback cruising around. Corsa is as close to dual mode exhaust as there can be in my opinion without having valves in the exhaust.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'very heard good things about corsa, but there's some serious sticker shock with those.
