Yeah I am doing that and it keeps coming right out. Did you position the opening in the clip in a certain way or anything?

This whole project has been nothing but gigantic pain in the ass. I have never had a project so difficult and nothing has gone the way everyone says it should.

I still can not get the driver side half shaft out. I have pryed with several pry bars all the way up to 36". I am trying the pop method that everyone says and it just will not pop out. Are there any other techniques to getting this thing out? Can I just hit it with a hammer somewhere and force it out?

When you say you have the "hub torn apart", is it torn apart like this?

With the way it was in the picture, I had to get my large dirt bike tire iron in between and apply a good amount of force still.

If you have one side out and you have the Torsen differential, then yes, maybe. There is a 12 mm diameter hole through the center stopper plug inside the diff. If you have one side out and can get in there with a long, thin punch (it has to fit through the 12 mm hole without getting wedged), you may be able to get behind it and drive it out. A word of caution, though, if your punch tool is mushroomed around on the tip, I've had it happen where it driven into the machined center on the axle end and get stuck. If that happens, it'll be real difficult to remove, especially if that other shaft doesn't come out. So, its not an official procedure, but it is an option that may work. Just be careful.

Pretty much just my luck. I had a shop get it out and they said they have never seen one that wouldn't let go like that. It mangled the clip and cut grooves in it as it came out like it was wedged or something.
