I'd say look into the Borla touring. It will carry a great sound without being raspy along with not pissing off the neighbors. End of the day the FR systems are basically the same as the Borla except that the FR are at a higher cost.

No drone in the sense of a resonant frequency that makes your ears bleed. Just a healthy amount of muscle car engine sound. Not obnoxious in my opinion - I love it. But..."no cabin noise at all" they aren't. The S-Type is definitely louder than the Ford Racing Sport and quite a bit louder than the Touring version.

Yep - heavily upgraded Trek Remedy 29er. Have some very good trails up in the hill country. F-150 does sherpa duty.

Completely agree with this assessment. Sounds absolutely amazing with the Borla S catback but is certainly audible at 70mph with 3.73s. When I had my STI with turboback exhaust at 70mph, that was drone and drove me nuts. This is more just sound.

Agree with these as well. I had the S-Type and it was not short on volume, especially at highway speeds with the 3.73's. Not necessarily drone, but boomy. I have the Borla Touring and it's great. Same as S-Type, just the Borla resonator instead of the x-pipe.

I have the FR Borla Sport cat back and it sounds great to me. I briefly thought about going s-type, but after having Pype Bombs on my old 2013, my ears will thank me. Borla Sport to me is the best of both worlds; quiet when you want and mean when you want it too.
