The Roush without cats but with the resonator installed is not that bad.

Sound quality is a personal preference thing. I actually love my obnoxiously loud Roush setup, and dislike the borla sound. Best bet would be to find a local S550 club or go to a cars and coffee and hear what they have in person.

I have Borla s-type axle backs with H pipe. There is still a little bit of rasp with the H pipe. I love the sound and I've been thinking of switching to Roush axle backs. I'm just wanting something louder and with more pop and crackle. The Borla s-type is more of a gurgle when letting off the gas. I do wish Borla would make better looking tips as this is another reason I may switch. I need to find someone local that has Roush with H pipe.

I haven't heard that setup but the stock resonator is pretty quiet so I'm not surprised but you remove that and cats it gets obnoxious to 99.9% of people.
