Okay, so it seems you haven't actually seen a 15 (and more) HP gain you are just taking a figure an electric pump maker claims for a completely unknown vehicle.Nothing documented unfortunately, but this isnt rocket science either, a water pump takes HP to turn, the question is how much, the answer is the faster you spin it the more HP it eats. Electric water pumps are nothing new in this industry, it seems most pump manufacturers including this one all seem to claim 10-15 HP. Some searching among the different manufacturers may yield some TRUE back to back testing. Our goals was to simply make a kit to eliminate the bulky water pump for turbo and supercharger applications, the HP gains were simply icing on the cake for us!
To claim a savings or gain, you need two numbers: a before and an after. If neither the before and/or the after is a Mustang, a 15 HP savings is completely misleading and meaningless. Is the 15HP plus a Mustang or a Kenworth (for example)?
In your earlier post you said you have seen a greater than 15 HP savings. Are you saying that was for a current model Mustang? If so, what model? And since you don't have the dyno chart, how can you be sure you remember correctly?
Can you clarify, please?
