Mustang delivery

Got an email from the leasing company today advising that my order has been moved forward 3 months (I have a GT Deep Impact a Blue on order) and my car will now be built on the 30th of May, which we make it one of the last Deep Impact Blue Mustangs to be built.
Expected delivery is now late August /early September, rather than the original November delivery.
It means it will be 12 months from the time I ordered until delivery.

Thats exactly the same as me :-)

Yep pushing forward all the cancelled colors I suspect. Maybe pushing back the cntinuing ones slightly.

I received my VIN yesterday, Competition Orange GT, moved forward from Sept. build to May build, delivery August.
Car was ordered 29th Sept. 2015.

Confirming (again) that the discontinued colours are all being pushed forward to get them out of the production line.

My CO GT ordered in Nov 2015 pushed to May build, delivery August, got the VIN Yesterday.

i.e. COULD be a 9 month wait; meanwhile my May 2015 order is due in August, i.e. 15 month wait. Averages out to a 12 month wait for each

Yeah, don't remind me - mine got pushed back two months and ended up a couple of weeks short of Sync 3. F..k that sh.t.

All good ssb, sync 2 is not that bad. People will trash it but if you look it isn't to hard to find someone trashing every part of this car at some point or other. If it plays your music and your nav gets you there without sending you up a one way street then it works.

So the straws are mounting on the Camels back and the final one might have just been delivered. I had to laugh.

So after ordering my Mustang I convinced my in laws they should by one too. It is a life long dream for my father in law to have a stang. So six weeks after I ordered mine they ordered one and so did my brother in law. three stangs in the family. So found out just then that my Father in laws is on a ship in bound to Aus and my brother in laws has just been built and arriving in early July.

All cars ordered from the same dealer. My father in laws is deep impact blue so I get that its coming early, curious as to why no one from ford contacted him. They only know because I told them to ring the dealer. My brother in laws is black the same as mine, ordered six weeks after and built before mine even gets in the queue.

They all work really hard and are really good people so I am happy for them but......

Honestly, I'm not all that worried about Sync 3, its just another straw. If I'm going to be pushed back, it'd be nice to get some benefit from it

That's the way they work - anyone who gets on the forums gets screwed with delivery times ;)

Ordering and builds are seriously all over the place....I swear all our orders go in a barrell and Marcos the Janitor draws out 5 Names each week.

I think the extra 2000 cars will start june on the 2017's.....

Seems only for the newer orders...

The original orders - those who ordered sight unseen, without test drives, the loyal, introductory customers - all get f..ked (well, unless they got a lucky colour ).

It was always the same on a lesser scale with movies - buy the day one BluRay or DVD and you get the movie. Wait a few months and the tin case collectors edition with 5 discs of bonus content comes out and all the original purchasers who are the big fans are faced with the dilemma of a PoS DVD that nobody wants any more, or buying the same movie again with some extras because you're a big fan.

It's called "we've got your money now, we don't care".
