Drained my UPR catch can today

Drained my UPR Catch Can today. This is after around 3,000 miles. Caught a good amount of oil. Very pleased with this catch can. Quality of construction is superb and hoses look great also.

Can anyone tell me what model or part number I have here? I just bought this and the filter doesn't seem to match what is pictured with the multi stage design. Is this an updated version or old style filter? Thanks.

I thought the newest systems had solid diffuser plates. That one looks like both are perforated.

Quick question, is the diffuser on the inlet side of the can (you don't mark them). Got mine a week ago and installed with the line from the PCV to the side with the diffuser.

That is the correct way to install it. The system works almost identical in either direction, so don't worry about it. The only thing that has to be in the correct direction is the check valve. Send me a few pics please.

There is no check valve, I still have the stock PCV valve.

Wayne,

We updated it as the shorter diffuser is to be able to control the oil in higher airflow modified engines by reducing the velocity in the diffuser. As for stock or simple bolt-ons, there is no real benefit. I'm always working on various improvements to be able to offer the best level of protection for any application. I have been working on new ways to force the system to condense and coalesce better in the hottest mounting locations.

Evening,

Was going to install my gt catch can (the one that mounts) but it seemed the pipes were excessively long. The dirty air pipe is probably 5-6 inches too long and will require a hell of a lot of bending to connect. Is this normal. Anyone care to measure the pipe length on theirs?

The hose needs to be long to allow more time for the can to catch.
