i haven't seen the ford racing one. link?

It's in one of the pictures from the SEMA Ford Racing Parts thread. It's $189 if I remember right. Its shown on the supercharger setup but the description doesn't show that it's supercharger specific kit. My guess it comes with what it needs to work as such and naturally aspirated. But what do I know lol.

I run the JLT's now since I have owned my car. Before that I had it on my S/C 08 GT. For a N/A car, I am not sure how much it will actually do. For a F/I car, you truly need one.

Since JLT re-design, my can gets quite a bit of oil in it. I do head to the track often enough, and a few highway pulls. I guess it comes down to for a N/A car just how hard you go at it. Not sure if worth the same value though.

Is the one on the pass side of the engine enough? Would one on each side be that much better or overkill?
+1 on this question....

I've been doing a little research on this subject. Initially I was liking the JLT product. It looks nice and has factory connections. However from the bit of research I've done over the past few hours, reviewing comparison tests, several reviews, etc... While the JLT does remove some oil, it is more form over function. I haven't read any data on the Moroso catch can, but people seem to like them. I have read some on RX (more expensive than your average can, for the monster dual valve about $350 or so) and UPR. UPR (one of the more recent versions but not the latest and greatest available) works well but no where near as well as the RX.

RX and maybe a couple others i've seen mentioned (i haven't seen data on these other brands) seem to be your best bet if you are interested in removing the most oil in a catch can system. They remove a lot of the oil. Much more than any other catch can i've researched.

If I were purchasing right now, I might be getting the RX as it seems to be very effective. However it is a little more expensive than I want to pay for right now. That and UPR has a new design which may close the gap on RX a little. No data for the new system yet.

Due to price, I am leaning towards the UPR system. I feel that no matter how well the RX system works it might be over kill for my stock set-up. If i were boosted, I'd probably fork out the money.

I am also interested in seeing what the Ford Racing design is like, I assume it is another "rebranded" product as most FRPP stuff is. I would like to know who makes it or how FR designed it.

Another product people seem to like is Bob's catch can system. Again, I haven't come across any data for this system yet.

Anyhow, I will gladly link all the sources I found with this information available but I don't have the time to find it again at the moment. If you google RX vs JLT or RX vs UPR, you will find a lot of good info.

I also agree with the others who have mentioned it, based on what I've read, the drivers side isn't necessary. Unless one of these better catch cans makes more of a difference. I'm not sure if there have been any of them used on the drivers side.

Just wanted to share my google findings on the subject.

I use the Moroso unit, but I'm sure the JLT works, it's just a universal catch can with a bracket made for 2011-2014 cars.

Here is a good video on the JLT catch can for the 15' from Brenspeed. Oil was building up quick and any spirited driving will give you some oil coating in the manifold with any high compression or boosted vehicle. I would imagine they abuse the car much more than most!

My oil catch can gets most, the intake barely has a film at 15,000 miles.
