Guys

I am getting fed up paying silly prices for shipping. Does anyone have any links and examples of these forwarding companies and how much they charge?

Thanks in advance

Yeah check out stackry.

I have a parcel with them now. And I know it can sit there for 45 days until I instruct them to send it.
I'm going to order a few more bits on Monday and then have them all put in one box and sent over (think there is a small charge for that)

I believe you can also put the box contents value on yourself so if you wanted to be naughty you can save yourself a few quid this end.
I obviously advise against that ;)

People like CJ Pony parts have free delivery inside the US, also the address for stackry is in NH which is a sales tax free state so no worry there either.

Will let you know how I get on next week if you haven't already given it a go

Depending on where you are in the UK you might try befriending some of the military folks. We get normal shipping rates for most items and you won't pay import tax (shhh....!)

I don't suppose you are stationed at Mildenhall or Lakenheath by any chance ;)

Give Ron a call at STS Imports. He has brought cars and parts over for me. He has a regular monthly container consolidation service that unloads at Chelmsford , Essex
So all the `larger` parts are far cheaper to bring in this way.

All you got to do is get them delivered to agent in Florida, and Ron will do the rest. Most of the guys on the MOCGB use him. Hes a nice chap too..
The next container will be packed on June 15th with an ETA of mid July.

Yep, Stackry here too.

Have had no problems with them and prices seem reasonable

As mentioned, Stackry or similar. There are a few of those warehousing style shipping options (Stackry, USGoBuy etc, just do a Google). They're useful if you want to buy multiple items. They are usually based in purchase tax free states and give you 45 or 90 days free storage at their warehouse facility so you can accumulate all the bits you want in one place, then they'll re-pack everything into one shipment and give you a choice of shipping options/insurance etc. By coincidence I had a package arrive today - 7 items of various sizes - and the shipping worked out to probably round about ÂŁ100, delivered in 5 working days.

You can also place your own value on each item you bought, but I guess you'd have to let your conscience decide on what you do there ;)

Jimboy, just wondering how you got on with your stackry order ?
Is it idiot proof ?
Bit nervous about using the service as I had never heard of anything like it.
I really should get out of the cave more !!

I have one small item on its way to stackry. Have had a couple other bits sat there since the 18th March.
So far so good. But will ask them today to consolidate all into one box and send. So will let you know.
It's all low value stuff so should be easy enough

that's great, thanks.
I want a stainless works exhaust,I cant find anybody selling them here. The costs start to add up once you add in the local taxes & shipping.

They quite expensive on P&p, but then can put your own value, :headbang:

I always use DHL with stackery,
My last package took 2 days from leaving them to my door
