Brembo/PP here. Have started to notice some minor noise (nothing like others mentioned here), usually after it rains and the car has been sitting for a while. I've chalked it up to the moisture and the car sitting for days at a time. Less than 6K miles and not my DD, so I'm not too concerned yet...

Nothing to be concerned about.

Brake rotor friction surfaces are bare iron by design; when the surface is exposed to moisture, it will develop flash/surface rust. Once the vehicle is driven, the brake pads will remove the surface rust and leave a clean braking surface. The side affect is some noise when the vehicle is first driven.

Hi Jeff,

For me the brake squeal issue started as soon as 2000 miles , informed the dealer he took my car in couple of days and informed me that issue has been fixed. 1000 miles more and noise started again... although it was not consistent so I did not worry much.. now its almost 12000 miles and it has been consistent and louder - but i am told that there's "most probably" no fix for this... need urgent help..

Got back from a deployment recently and noticed my GTPP Brembos started squeaking. Seemed intermittent at first but then there was a solid week they squealed. Now its stopped again. Ill just chalk it up to race brakes with metallic pads. Im sure some ceramics will remedy the noise

My Brembos did squeal, but not beyond what I'd expect from performance oriented pads. I solved it by switching to XP10s and instead of simply squealing I'm now treated to a symphony of noise with each stop.

I have a 8.5k miles on my 2015 GT/PP and the squeal is absolutely unbearable. Tried to have Parks Ford of Gainesville fix and they turned the rotors/glazed pads. Did nothing .

It's normal for Brembo calipers and high performance brake pads to make noise, especially when cold. That's the tradeoff for having a high performance brake system that you can take the the track right off the showroom floor.

Looks like I responded to the poll too soon. My brembos weren't squealing then, but now that do it pretty regularly. Developed somewhere between 5500-6300 miles. I'm going to assuming nothing serious is wrong as they still work great, and maybe it's 'normal' per previous posts. Will still request the dealer have a look next time I'm in though.
