Since when doesnt form>function? Are we in the honda crowd
I know a lot of people on SVTP with 2011-14 GT switched to the Boss intake because of the way it looked. Even though there was torque loss with it. I am sure some 2015+ guys might make the same choice. Not everyone is performance minded, not everyone cares about looks. But luckily we get to make our own choices for modifying our own cars.

I am one to pick function over form. But would love to see FRPP make an intake that was similar in design to the Boss or CJ but still fit under the S550 hood without modifications. But at least we have four options for these motors already. With more coming with aftermarket companies.

How many will revisit this thread now that the dyno results have been posted?

How many will realize the effect that the rev limit was literally chopping the balls off of the GT350 manifold car?

I just looked at a log from my remote tuning, 52.2 @ 6700

This is the first file sent over from the tuner. :headbang:

Kelly, is that with 0 fuel trims at WOT or are the trims correcting?

Also, have you modified the SD/VE tables or are you basing that on stock VE and modified MAF? Is it MAF only or are the SD tables being referenced? There is a lot that will throw off that lb/min reading....

I'm confused, the dyno charts were posted right off the bat and they went pretty far into the 7k range.

I really want the GT350 manifold to be a worthwhile mod but it seems that a lot of people are doing just as good if not better with the stock one.

You must be really confused if you think the stock intake is doing just as well as the 350.

No, your post confused me. I've seen lots of people trapping 117/118 with a lund flex fuel tune, headers and exhaust. I haven't seen anyone break into the 120's with a GT350 manifold. The gains up top seem to be offset with the losses down low.

There isn't much data available for the 350 manifold at the track. All of the dyno charts I've seen show no loss in torque from the stock manifold anywhere in the range.

The OP is literally the only person to have lost power like this. I forgot the group on FB, but these dyno runs were easily picked apart when he tried to post them there.

And no tune changes for the 350 intake. Only those required to make it run.....wow

I'm with you on the tuning inconsistency, but that's why your post confused me. You were talking about the dyno graphs in this thread proving how well the GT350 intake is, the dyno graphs in this thread do not show that. Sure, there are tuning issues to consider, but at face value those dyno graphs do not paint the GT350 in a positive light - hence my confusion with your post.

One thing I do wonder, though. The OP's car, with the stock intake, LT's, exhaust, cai, tune, clutch and slicks has trapped 124. With similar mods, what does the GT350 intake run?
