That's some pretty good points.I think that's a safe assumption. Apart from black all the fotoshopped colors in the configurator are quite to even way off, but this Lightning Blue takes the biscuit.
From the regular pictures we have seen so far LB is a tad lighter than DIB and less purple-ish. I doesn't even remotely look like the teal that's in the configurator.
Personally I'm not surprised by Ford's choice for this new blue as it is in line with all the other very poor color choices mrs Lampinen has made for the S550 generation:
Oxford White < Performance White
Deep Impact Blue < Kona Blue
Triple Yellow < Screaming Yellow
Competition Orange < Grabber Orange
Magnetic < Gun Metal Grey
Guard < Gotta Have It Green
Black < Any Metallic Black
The only colors that I think are best choice for their kind are Race Red, Ruby Red and Ingot Silver. As an alternative blue I do like Grabber Blue a lot and I think the Pearl White is a good addition too.
That's DIB, just choose the new white or Grabber, it will show CO and Guard.I just went to the UK Ford site for the new Mustang at:

There is a button that lets you pick a color. I picked Lightning Blue and was treated to this beautiful blue, and not that ugly teal color that was showing up earlier in the thread. It's looking more and more like that wasn't accurate at all.

^this...you gotta break GB up a bit or it looks like a Teletubby. It'll look superb. However, just as on the S197, it needs a fair amount of black to tone it down. Me, I'd have it with a black roof, mirrors, hood vents and wheels

Wait for 18 and get a new enginedamn that Lightning Blue is beautiful.
Trading in my '16 Guard for a '17 LB/CS would be a bad idea, right?
