Have heard a few times that people who have ordered cars with Nickel Luster wheels haven't turned up fitted.

Can any one, that actually ordered and received their car, had this issue?

I don't want the nickel lustre (black won't show the brake dust so much), but they're showing-up on Ford's system as being fitted to my car. Titan Ford told me that they've "given" the first 20 (?) customers the nickel lustre wheels - but I don't believe a word of it (they are car salesman after-all). If it happens, then someone stuffed-up somewhere.

What a load of crap.

It's already been determined that Ford fucked up some early Oz builds and included the nickel lustre wheels instead of the black ones.

Replacement wheels were said to be being shipped to dealers to rectify the matter.

If you plan on purchasing after market wheels, its probably a good thing to get a free upgrade to the Nickel wheels, you should be able to sell them for more, and therefore a bit of a discount on the new wheels you plan on fitting.

If you like the black of-course you can tell the dealer you ordered black for a reason and they must fit the black wheels on the car.

It does sound like a bit of a band-aid to cover up the 'shipped with wrong wheels issue', i guess they will just try to play the free upgrade card until they get rid of them all.

Check your wheels at delivery time that they haven't scratched them up if they have to swap them back to the stock black 19's!

If it helps, Melbnut, the wording for the black PP wheels on Etis is:

19X9 Fr/19X9.5 Rr-Alum Prm Pntd

As for the black not showing brake dust... Saw a demo today, first day of demo'ing, wheels looked shocking, half flat back due to dust.....

The Nickels are still the 19s, just the same wheel as the black, just painted silver.

In the UK the 3 sets of wheels are now available in the accessories catalogue - all the same price!

This is why I'm having my wheels Opti-Coated too - can pretty much just hose the dust away.

If it helps, @Melbnut, the wording for the black PP wheels on Etis is:

19X9 Fr/19X9.5 Rr-Alum Prm Pntd
My window sticker has:
19X9Fr/19X9.5Rr- Fg Al Prm Pt

I'm guessing this must mean the nickel-finish (only 3 (including mine) of the 13 cars on the Faust destined for Fremantle have this code - the rest have "Alum Prm Pntd".

I'm really not sure I want the nickel-finish....
