Anyone on here?

There's a guy outside refurbing a neighbour's car. He was chatting to me about mine and that he had refurbed two wheels on another S550 only a few days ago.

Turns out the poor driver was stopped by the police. He pulled over and kerbed his wheels. The police only wanted to look at the car as they didn't know what it was.

I remember someone being pulled over by the police to talk about their car. Doubt it was them.

I'd cry if i kerbed my wheels, i kerbed my corsa's black alloys a few weeks back, and i'm planning on selling it soon, fking annoying as sin! Need to buy some filler and black paint and DIY the job. Kerbing is so frustrating!

Speaking of kerbing, anyone used them little rubber buffers you put on the lips of the alloy between it and the wheel that will shred before the alloy gets clunked?

I am indeed. And I do, usually, i'e got 'better than 20:20 vision' according to my optitian, and have good peripheral awareness so should be fine. Reversing camera will help
Twin Turbo they're called 'Rim Blades' was contemplating either black or (inset wrap colour here - legit nearly typed it out) for my mustang when it comes. Heard good things about them from friends.

That's was me, didn't kerb my wheels though! I have had a chip in one which was repaired gratis during #bumpergate

I deliberately avoid multi storey car parks now because of #kerbthreat , the ones in Newcastle are utterly ridiculous, 2 ft high kerbs on entrance & exit, one in particular there's a drop out of the car park with a near 90 degree left hand into a exit ramp. Either side is a foot kerb & the walls bear scars of many cars

Yep, scared of them the parking at work is absurd for that, we've got about 1ft tall kerbs, but they get stupidly narrow and it's a tight squeeze to get in!

(That's a tight squeeze all of one times i've driven a whole of one car down there and that was a 4x4)

If you live in London you'd definitely gonna kerb your wheel(s) within couple of weeks - every road is tight. However give any car to my missus and she'll happily kerb them in few hours no matter how expensive the car is.

When I first got the BWM 2yrs ago, she kerb the wheels the first time she drove it, last year I got a new RRS supercharged and she kerbed all 4 wheels, even managed to buckle 2 front wheels. Dealer felt sorry for me and offered free replacements and guess what? She scraped all within 2 days. I've given up.

She did a lot less damage to what i'd do if you gave me the keys to a beemer :lol::lol::lol::lol: (I jest, I jest!)

Sounds like your missus needs to drive a smart car, WITH HUB CAPS!

It is a big step up from a Corsa to a BM right enough. God help your neighbours/cats/dogs etc when you get the Stang! ;)

I have 3 neighbors in our little gated estate. One owns a RS6 with a custom exhaust, the other an M4, the other an RS4. The mustang will fit in as much as a mustang can fit in... The rest of their cars are, SVQ, Some Volvo estate and a citroen C1, you can guess which are the wives cars and which are the husbands cars!

Any car is an upstep from my little run around corsa, I will miss it, it's a great little run around car, whoever I sell it to will be very lucky! Take loads of care to a car worth only 7k!

Lol, funny enough we have a 13 Reg smart car I got her for her business, she detests the car and it's still parked up at her shop with only 189 miles on the clock since 2013.

Thinking of trading it in with ford towards the purchase of the stag.

I'm not stalking you I promise!

I'd detest them too, but my god are they the most practical car i've ever sat my 6ft something skinny arse into, the ability to just park it anywhere etc, quite something, I see why women love the fiat 500 (Maybe you should get her that - the Gucci edition ofcourse!)

Hahah! that's the way to go!

I always say nobody can move my car if they come over, however it always seems to move around on my drive, wankers! and judging by the parking, it'll be my mum who seems to obsess of parking infront of me on the drive when she pops round :shrug::shrug:.

Might have to hide the mustang keys somewhere nobody will go (Nobody who's got army knowledge pull that one out, that aint happening hahah!)
