Got VIN #

Just heard from FP last night....got my VIN # & the build date of 2/17/16 with an ETA to the dealer of 3/19/16 OK, I can live with that, at least knowing the time line....

Do you know what date your VIN# was assigned. I thought VIN#'s were assigned on Wednesday and dealers usually were notified Thursday? Am I wrong about this?

Ordered 6/4/2015- received VIN 1/25/2016, and was able to pull the window sticker today, 1/27/2016. Production is currently scheduled for Feb 8.

2016 GT350R ordered on 6/5, built on 11/6, delivered to the dealer on 1/27. Now the dilemma is whether I take delivery or not. A lot has changed in 7 months, including starting a new job at the beginning of this month. First world problems, right?


UPDATE: I did take delivery. You can stop ringing the phone off the desk at that dealership now.

Finally Some Movement

I have begun to just get depressed every Thursday awaiting my weekly update (of no news) on my R order (ordered Aug 5). Was just called by my sales guy who advised that he spoke with the Rep today and managed to get my order slotted in the last Q1 Atlanta region allotment. Says my unscheduled material hold should move past unscheduled clean to a date next week

I am so conflicted...don't want to get my hopes up...
