I think the way it works is that the "blend date" is the date when all the bits for it are planned to be available on the line for assembly; the "build date" is the date when it rolls off the end of the line. If they start assembling your car near the beginning of the shifts, it will roll off on the same day. But a good proportion are "half assembled" as the line just stops where it is at the end of the shift when they turn the lights out and go home, and then it resumes the next day. So they are sometimes the same, and sometimes a day or 2 different...So you did, at least this time I have a Blend date, window sticker etc, so it's less of seeming lost with information and looks more concrete!
Yes, the Blend date should be the official build date, etis isn't updated yet, but I wouldn't expect it to, some people see a day difference between blend and build date, but a rough estimation is they're both around the same time give or take a day![]()
