I own a 2004 Accord V6 6speed manual Accord 2 door as a winter vehicle. With all seasons or snow tires, i'm quite certain my Honda Accord is quicker 0-60 than my 16 Mustang GT PP with its oem tires in the winter.

My Mustang gets very little traction below 50 degrees.

The Accord is no muscle car, but it's definetly a lot quicker than most everyone thinks.

No way! A car with snow tires is "quicker" than a car with summer tires in the winter season?

A Honda Accord is not "quick". Unless of course you consider a Malibu, Camry, Fusion, Altima, and Chrysler 200 to be "quick".

I think you can pick apart any manufacturer, if that's your agenda. If Honda's were truly that bad, the word would be out, just like it is on vehicles like Ranger Rover, VW, Jeep. Honda still has a reputation of being one of the most reliable manufacturers for a reason, and I don't think it's ignorance.

LOL congrats on the dumbest post of the day. :first:Your confusing traction with power. There is no way on earth an Accord is hanging with a GT.You want to argue build quality. That's one thing. But trying to claim an Accord will outrun a GT is against the laws of physics! With all things being equal.:headbonk:

Eh. Quicker than a 16 year old V6 Mustang, maybe.

The Honda is not in the same league as the GT

It is however, very close in performance to the Turbo Stang. ECO Stang 0-60 & 1/4 mile competitors (within drivers race territory):

2015 Acura TLX 3.5L - 0-60 mph 5.7
2014 Audi A6 3.0T - 0-60 mph 5.5 / Quarter mile 13.7
2015 BMW 428i Gran Coupe - 0-60 mph 5.6 / Quarter mile 14.2
2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Premium - 0-60 mph 5.3 / Quarter mile 13.9
2013 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L (Auto) - 0-60 mph 5.5 / Quarter mile 13.9
2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T R-Spec - 0-60 mph 5.8 / Quarter mile 14.2
2010 Infiniti G37 Sport Coupe - 0-60 mph 5.2 / Quarter mile 13.7
2014 Infiniti Q50 - 0-60 mph 5.1 / Quarter mile 13.7
2013 Lexus GS 350 F-Sport Package - 0-60 mph 5.4 / Quarter mile 13.8
2010 Mazdaspeed 3 - 0-60 mph 5.4 / Quarter mile 14.0
2012 Mercedes C350 Coupe - 0-60 mph 5.5 / Quarter mile 14.0
2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Ralliart - 0-60 mph 5.6 / Quarter mile 14.2
2013 Nissan Altima 3.5 SV - 0-60 mph 5.7 / Quarter mile 14.1
2010 Nissan Maxima SV - 0-60 mph 5.7 / Quarter mile 14.3
2015 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan (Manual) - 0-60 mph 5.1 / Quarter mile 13.7
2015 Toyota Camry XSE V6 - 0-60 mph 5.8
2015 Volkswagen GTI - 0-60 mph 5.8 / Quarter mile 14.3

And what source are you citing about the "word not being out" lol? Just because nobody told you? Sounds like a very scientific conclusion!!

When the NY Times publishes an article about the statistically high failure rate of the transmission on an entire brand over the course of more than a decade,, I'd say that's "getting the word out".

And what data do you have to prove that Jeeps are unreliable? The answer is none, it's simply your baseless opinion. The AMC/Jeep 4.0 is one of the most reliable engines ever made; anyone who argues that needs to get out more.

Besides common knowledge, experiences of numerous acquaintances, friends, family members and forum discussions, there is also this:

http://www.jdpower.com/press-releases/2015-vehicle-dependability-study

Honda: 5th from top
Jeep: 3rd from bottom

Oh but they made one decent engine. Yay.

They are cool, but I'd never buy a Jeep, nor would I ever recommend one.

Here's one article that actually shows the V6 Accord manual as being a touch faster. And quit a bit quicker from 45-65mph

http://www.motortrend.com/news/accord-coupe-vs-mustang-5-reasons-to-go-honda-and-ford/

However, we all know a simple tune on the EB makes a world of difference...but that of course also voids your warranty.
Dude your kinda getting carried away now. Who cares about one article about honda outrunning a stock EB from 45 to 65mph? Oh yea never mind. Honda owners would care about that!

Not just 45-65, but in the 1/4 mile as well. And I know most don't care about 45-65 but I was just surprised that it was a pretty big difference. Not sure how am I getting carried away? I'm not biased either way, I think both cars are great for what they are (although I'm much more of a mustang fan). I'm simply stating MT's findings, relative to the discussion and in response to the question(s) being asked.

Honda Accord V6 and Chrysler 200 V6 are both reasonably quick. Should be on par with Mustang V6. Aside from being front wheel drive. And no LSD.

I got it from the "Zero to 60" website

What is your source for those statistics?
Their numbers are usually in line with all of the magazine sources. There are small variables that cause them to differ slightly, temp, track/road, driver etc.

Incidentally, The ECO Stang times from "Zero to 60," are slightly faster than what many of the car magazines are putting out.

Bottom line, I believe that the stock ECO Stang is similar to a Honda Accord or Nissan Altima Coupe WRT speed.
