They look nice.. when I'm back in the US I'll go up to the local motorsports guys and try sitting in 'em to see if the bolstering will keep the blood flowing on long drives. Do they mount at the same height as the stock seats or lower?
Which mounts?

Are those bottom mount or side mount seats?

6'4" 240 and mine are too high, and my view out is bad. Naturally this gets worse with a helmet for track or autocross use. Some of us have long torso's rather than long legs.

The Ford Racing Recaros are crazy expensive, and I assume are the same height as stock (optional Recaros are the same height as the standard seats). Plus any airbag seat is going to be heavy.

Unfortunately the aftermarket seat & mount people do a lousy job of establishing how well their stuff fits (or adjusts the fit).

I have a set of aftermarket Recaros from my previous car and I am waiting for aftermarket mounts that will lower the seats a couple inches.
Do let me know how that goes, I'm really interested in your findings.
What seat model are you looking to fit into your 2015?

What are folks using for mounts? Fixed mounts, adjustable? Whos mounts?

Looking at getting a set of sparcos with much deeper bucketing.

I have bottom mounts specific for the corbeau seats, all from pony parts...

They are the seats from an Evo 7. Similar to their aftermarket "Sport" seats. Also fairly similar to the non leather optional Recaros (but 20 pounds or so lighter without the side airbag).

So are the mounts and sliders lower than stock (so that other Corebeu seats could be used) or is the base thinner on the FX1?

Planning my soon to be acquired car out. Looking at weight reduction.

I don't have any experience with seats like this. They don't recline right? Is their a reclining version of these or does that defeat the purpose of them?

Wow you must have a really long torso if you have trouble fitting in this car! I have had a couple very tall friends sit in it and it works fine for them. My problem is the opposite, I have to crank the seat up so high that it barely tilts forward for access to the back seats.

I have the Recaros and I think they are a little lower than stock seats, as I don't have as much of a problem in the stock seats. So OEM Recaros might help? Also possibly an upholstery shop could remove some foam from the bottom cushion, give you another inch or so.

Must have some mutants in here, My best friend is 6'8 and has about 1.5 inches from roof when the seat is all the way down...

Now add 3" extra for a helmet and he can't fit.
