With all these ecoboost versions floating around the different auto shows I find it hard to believe we have yet to hear one. I'm beyond curious about the sound. I guess I can add that to the list of concerns I expect to be resolved at the 50th anniversary events.

There is a video floating around YouTube with spy footage of an ecoboost Mustang on the road.

Short version: It sounds good for an ecoboost. It's fun to tool around town in and hear the turbo, but it also sounds amazing when strung out on track.

As for actual footage? I'm sure there's some footage somewhere.

*cough* this guy *cough*

I'm pretty excited for a modern SVO... once is tweaked. Just a Turbo from factory ;)

Has a nicer sound to it than I expected. Love hearin' the little turbo spool, but more impressed by the deep-ish exhaust note.

I think if I purchased the EcoBoost (a VERY likely possibility) I might not even swap out the stock exhaust. Sucks because going to a larger diameter exhaust pipe does wonders for turbos

I hope Ford does find out that they can save money and weight by not putting an engine cover on the Turbo four engine. My 2014 GT500 does not have an engine cover and looks really good.

That's because the GT500 engine is a work of art. ...and the supercharger sitting on top doesn't hurt either. ;)

Uh, I'm sure they know :)

The top side of both the 5.0L and 2.3L engines could use some beautifying. I think those grams and cost are worth it...

Step 1: Purchase Mustang

Step 2: Take engine cover off

Step 3: "It looks so much better now!"

Step 5: Crank up boost, blow engine, get denied when trying to claim it's under warranty..

Seriously, this will happen.

Look at my car. Trust me, I know. Except I've only had it a couple years, and the previous two owners are the ones that blew the engine. Luckily it was replaced under the 90-day used car warranty.
